He is so lovely when he rambles...you can almost see his thought processes at work. Love him to bits. Thanks for the link Dolphin.

Not sure what went wrong for you all. I watched it live with no problem. *don't hit me, dolphin* I tuned in a little late (about 4:10 my time), so missed the first few minutes. Just watched the whole thing again. He is lovely when he rambles, but what I like is that he's not pretentious and he's very self-depreciating. It's not all me, me, me...and I don't think that's something you can fake. When someone has a huge ego, it's usually pretty obvious. He's always so quick to praise his co-stars and says little about his own process/role, even when he's asked.
Anyone else notice the noise in the background? Doors shutting and it sounds like someone dropped something. Wonder if that was his hotel room and the kids were there? I bet it took some self control not to point the finger and give a warning glare. "Dad's on the phone." LOL.
The hair...well...it wasn't the best. I'm hoping it's for Horry and he'll ditch it for S5...or at least trim it up and shape it a little. He's starting to look like a bum. That fits Horry, but not Raylan so much.

I noticed the noises and thought exactly the same thing wkw. I really do think he's a nice guy who tries very hard to "keep it real" which is why I really like him. He does nor seem to be the least bit pretentious.

What fun! I love him dearly, but he DOES love to ramble on. Probably gives the guy with the stop watches a fit. LOL Think I'll go back and watch Kunal now. He seems like a fun person.
Game time: When I cut off the video, the guy was talking about Emmy gimmicks and giveaways the networks use, such as Dexter ice cream trucks handing out Dexter bars (white ice cream with red streaks). What do you think they would be handing out for "Justified"? I've got a meeting in a half hour, but the only thing I could come up with on short notice were "Li'l Deputy Diapers" with a big star on the front. You all can do better than that!

I've been a member of Gold Derby for a long time ... and I could not find it until they put up the edited version. Maybe it's my browser or something ... there was nothing about Wednesday's broadcast.

One of things I love about Tim is the fact that he seems so unaffected by all the Hollywood accolades and attention. I wonder if he enjoys the extra attention during the awards season, or could he do without it. That being said, it's always nice to see an actor who just wants to act and create because he loves and respects the craft, not the awards and the media attention. Personally, I do hope he's nominated for an Emmy. He deserves a nomination, even if he doesn't feel the same way.

Personally I think he would rather be without all the hullaballoo but at the same time likes to be recognised for his body of work. I think if he could have that without having to put himself out there he would be a happy chappy.

Kyle Chandler was extremely modest during Emmy season ... and it worked out okay for him (THE underdog). I guess it's now up to us to continue to toot TO's horn on whatever fan or press message board we can. (That's what we did for Kyle.)

Well it's good to know I'm not the only one that Skype refuses to work for. Every single time I'm on, the picture is off with the sounds. I'm glad its not just me.
And the hair- excuse me while I wipe up this puddle of drool. I love this shaggy look. Which is funny because I usually dont like the longer hair on him. Maybe he was having a great hair day. But I do agree its not Raylan. He would definitely need to cut it before s5. Does anyone else just go nuts over his facial hair?! I call it his ghost beard. Its so artfully shaved, fairly short, and with its gray hairs its so subtle and so very very HOT.
So what was the poiny of Goldderby asking for questions when they had a very limited amount of time and the experts had all kinds of questions?

thank you thank you thank you! Could not sleep and got up to check this site...I was able to get in and see and listen to TO finally! I could listen to him talk about his work for hours...a great interview! He didn't answer with the expected babble...I think he would like the award attention, but he doesn't do the work to get the attention, he just loves doing it...Thanks again for your help. You made it easy to find. ( Wouldn't he be great to have a drink with? Love to listen..)

I'm just so grateful as I have no idea how ye find all the stuff - on a side note some one must give him an award just so I can see his acceptance speech. I don't know would he be surprised and endearing or on top form and just funny and amazing!

I don't would he be surprised and endearing or on top form and just funny and amazing! I disagree with some of my friends here. LOL I think Tim was TOTALLY delighted to be nominated for the Emmy and I think he would be over the moon to get another nomination. They way he talks about the evening and how great Alexis looked, I really think he was thrilled to be a part of this after all his hard work and "toiling in the vineyards" of his careet. It's all well and good to say you don't do it for the award and I'm sure he means it, but I also believe he's a nice young man from a "good family" and is very pleased to be recognized in this way for his work. I sure hope he gets many more opportunities to be pleased in this way.

Gee, this new format is throwing me. Anyhoo....
Received my new TV Guide today. No photos of the Timster, but in an article titled "Emmy Awards: Our Dream Ballot," they did include wishful nods for TO and (surprise!) Joelle Carter. Said the article:
"If Carter joins costar Olyphant in the nominees' circle for her ferocious portrayal of Southern-fried moll Ava Crowder, it would certainly be justified."
Nice!
She really did fine, underappreciated work playing a far less sympathetic, but believably hardened Ava.
Thanks for the link to the Gold Derby interview. I could not access it last Wednesday.

Loving your new icon, Kentuckygal! I heard TV Guide (Matt Roush, right?) wanted TO on the Best Actor Drama list. That's great he has Joelle on his, too. And while Joelle is under appreciated, I think of all the actors on the show ... TO has to be THE most under appreciated. I mean, it's his show. I'd like to see the show and the cast get the same attention as ... Mad Men. Justified is more deserving than Mad Men, imo. Mad Men will have one or two standout eps each season for Emmy consideration, while Justified knocks 'em out of the park time after time. This pre-Emmy time is nerve wracking, finger nail biting. I am hopeful.

Does anyone know if Tim went to the Critics choice lunch/awards??? Usually they televise it about a week after it is held, but I didn't see it advertised on E or anywhere else. Cranston won Best Drama Lead Actor. Surprise! I honestly didn't think BrBa was as good as the first couple of season last year.

As far as I know Tim wasn't there, Walton and Jim Beaver were at the same table and it was "live-streamed" but not on TV.

Oooooooo, Kentucky Gal. LOVE your avatar!! Yeah, these particular critics. They LOVE Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell this year (not me). And Hugh Bonneville should not even be in the top 10 (and I watch DA!). I'd put Michael C. Hall in his place. I think Steve Buscemi will fall out of the top 6. And I've lost my thrill of Jon Hamm for the past 2 years. That being said, these cable studios pay lots of $$ for Emmy promotions, and FX is not pushing Justified over The Americans. But I'd love to put these Gold Derby critics in their place. I'm the ONLY one who had Kyle Chandler in ... not only for the top 6, but for the win. They had him not even listed in the top 6. I think they are that 'out of touch.' TO deserves to be in the top 6, but not the win for this year. I'm still waiting for that one, Raylan-centric episode that would do it for him. Maybe next year. But for him to even have a chance next year ... he needs to be in the top 6 this year. I can hope!!

this will really show my age, but I remember when Robert Duvall should have won an EMMY FOR "Gus" the US Marshall in Lonesome Dove and he was passed up so they could give it to James Wood in the tv movie about Bill W, who created AA. It was just so wrong! Fell in love with Duvall as Gus...thought he never had a better role than that one. I gave up on the emmys for years after that....BUT, I kind of feel the same way about TO and Raylan, so deserving of recognition for his fine work. I'll be watching for sure. And I think we've had enough about Bryan Cranston, good as he is as Walter White, he's had his moment or two or three. A thank you speech by TO is sure to be fun to watch. Time for some yard work...will check in again later. Love to see what you are all thinking about....

But for him to even have a chance next year ... he needs to be in the top 6 this year. I can hope!! I agree with you, Dolphin. I think TO will have a hard time winning an Emmy, but he definitely deserves a nomination. The character of Raylan is a bit understated, which I think is probably hard to do for an actor, but I'm not voting. We have not really seen a roller-coaster of emotions with the character, which is something the voters of these award shows seem to vote for.
