From their mouths to God's ears. Let's hope the Emmy voters feel the same.

Hey for kicks shall we pick which episode each actor should submit for their entry! Think The Hunt would work for both Walton and Joelle. And the name is one I need to look up but the one where Raylan burns Arlo trunk and all memories...and that visit to that shack. Anyone got opinions here? ??

You can vote for Justified in all categories over at www.goldderby.comAs Kyle Chandler was nominated and won (as a long shot) for the series finale of FNLs (a perfect bookend to their Pilot), I would send The Promise as the submission ep for TO and for writing. He was definitely the Lead Actor in that episode. For Joelle and Walton? I might send the Pentultimate ep.

I think these Emmys will be all about Ava and perhaps Boyd. I don't think Tim will win his acting is too subtle for the Emmy voters. I really hope I am wrong because he is an absolute natural and sooooooo under rated.

Thinking they chose those episodes for the drama series.
May leave The Hunt for use for both Walton and Joelle!
And The Promise for Timothy! He was in most scenes and got to show emotions.
We can hope!!!!!!!

Not that it will do any good, but I voted for her.

Me, too, weegieburd. The Emmys probably don't give a flying fig what we think, but we can show Joelle how much we appreciate her. GO vote, everyone!

Just got my DVD and wow....no extras! That Hollywood to Harlan is all? No gag and no deleted scenes....that is kind of shocking!!!!!! I think I posted last week that I got the Bluray and was very disappointed to find there were no commentaries, no blooper/gag reel, and very few deleted scenes. There is a feature called "Dutch Talks" which is Elmore just chatting about the show and his work, it's very nice and he does say that TO plays Raylan even better than he envisioned, just perfect. There is a nice feature of Adam Arkin directing, mostly the Promise, but no interviews with TO or others. I was expecting that the final season BluRay/DVD would be filled with a lot of behind the scenes stuff and closure type comments...Plus I was hoping for outtakes from "The Hunt" there was probably a lot of film shot with those babies! But they did get it out 6 months earlier than they ever have before...is it so the Emmy voters would have it in their hands before voting? Otherwise, what was the hurry? We have gotten it in December or even January in other years. Anyway, I think they rushed it. After Deadwood ended, there was a package issued that was all the episodes plus commentaries on just about every episode and interviews with actors and with David Milch, features about the set, the costumes, the extras, etc. Should we dare to hope that FX/Justified might be planning on something like that? Anyways, I feel your pain...

Yeah, I was a bit underwhelmed with the Blu-Ray/DVD as well. I'm wondering if we'll see a whole series, seasons 1-6 box set around Christmas. If so, maybe that will come with more extras and a bloopers reel.

I was going to wait, but broke down and bought the season at the Amazon sale price. I have two ways to watch Blu-Ray, but have always bought just the regular dvds, and did again this time. There is one featurette, which I have not had time to watch yet. I was disappointed, too, but really sorry for you guys who brought Blu-Ray expecting a lot more. I think they rushed it out for whatever reason. We had to wait before, but at least we got some decent extras.
mare, you are right about the Deadwood set. The extras are wonderful. I had never bought the individual seasons and got a great price on the boxed set. But after buying six seasons of Justified, I don't know about shelling out a chunk more for a boxed set.

Fx also released the final plus a fancy box set from sons of anarchy...right after their finale...thinking financial motivations!!!! Beat the alleged release to Netflix and Hulu...they are saying all six seasons will at some point be available....bring us into the binge worthy realm? ??

We have never been able to get the Blue Ray verson of any of the series, but I have just bought the Blue Ray (Australian ) version of series 3 (I loaned my original DVD to someone and didn't get it back). This is the first time I have had "extras" and I am revelling in it!

Rolling Stone has its list of best and worst series finales....Justified made it on the best list..making special mention of that epic yet subtle final scene with Raylan and Boyd...coal dust in their blood....so darn cool.

'book, for some reason, FX has always treated Justified as the "poor relation." Never running a binge-worthy rerun of all seasons. Hell, never running re-runs at accessible times during season runs.I know from your posts that you were up half the night trying to watch repeat broadcasts. This is disrespectful on the part of FX. They just never really invested in the show. I think this shows in the lack of awards.Just plain crappy if you ask me. If the show garnered six seasons, why not promote it?

Plus it garnered rave reviews...even at our worst (season five) they would say our worst was still better than most shows best!!! Yeah FX treated us badly..but when overall viewership declines with Justified gone...well ha ha to them. They push for the Americans and they may be good..but don't even have one million viewers. Go figure.
