We aren't the only ones: In this week's PARADE magazine, (comes with some newspapers) there's an interview with Stephen King. One of the questions was: Speaking of screens, what TV shows are you enjoying these days" Justified, Bates Motel, The Walking Dead. The best show of the year is The Americans."
I thought it was cool that he mentioned Justified first, but I must admit I tried to watch The Americans and it was totally uninteresting to me. Just not my period in American history, I guess.
Isn't it funny that the words "Justified" and "Timothy Olyphant LEAP out at us from the pages of whatever we're reading?

So true, Audrey. But come on. You know you remember the "Cold War." It was the strangest of times. This is what draws me to "The Americans," I think.

Oh,yeah. I'm JUST old enough to remember the Cold War! LOL
But, aren't there some periods in history you love to read about, watch, study over others?? I love New York from 1890-1910, the American West, medieval history, Dark Ages, early Victorian, some WWI and II. The Cold War's just not something that grabs me as a vehicle for stories. I really don't care much for ANY "spy" format so maybe that's why.

Audrey, it's just that the"Cold War" era was just so much a part of my growing up. I mean, we were paranoid about the Russians. I love some of the other eras too, but the "Cold War " era was just SO creepy. We were obsessed with the Russians. I think this is what draws me to "The Americans."

Feeling particularly "Raylan-less" today, so I decided to reward myself for progress on painting the louvered closet doors in my bedroom (a job that I just hate!) with a little Justified binging. I watched Hatless and Hatless with commentary this morning. I really enjoyed the commentary part. This was a really good episode. I'm planning to watch the finale of season 3 later. I watched most of season 3 a few weeks ago but didn't get to the last one. I don't usually watch the commentary versions on DVDs. Do you all know if there are any other good ones with Tim commenting? I'm having serious Justified withdrawals

I'm having serious Justified withdrawals I just watched 'The Gunfighter' with commentary from TO, Graham Yost, and Jere Burns. I don't know where I was, but I only now noticed the deleted scene from Season 3, "Catch." Wow, that would have changed things for me if it had been included. I was as surprised as Raylan when Winona left him. This deleted scene foreshadowed trouble in paradise.

Thanks, Dolphin. I'll have to watch the commentary version of The Gunfighter. I missed the deleted scene too. I'll go back tomorrow and watch it. Hubby is on his way home and I have to make dinner. No more Justified tonight.

I haven't watched any of the commentary versions of the episodes. I don't know why, but I'm not really having any problems with Justified withdrawl, haha.

He's got amazing eyes, like Tim. Otherwise I don't see much resemblance.

Hmmm...so that's a question. Who do you cheat on TO with? LOL.
I like Taylor Kitsch (I know, I know, he's YOUNG) but oh, those early seasons of FNL... And...when it's on...I admit to a crush on Norman Reedus who plays Daryl on The Walking Dead. He is to a bow and arrow what Raylan is to his sidearm.

Too funny...I was thinking of starting a thread about other men whom we are strangely attracted.
I'm cheating on TO with Dexter tonight, but I only love him for his twisted mind. LOL. And then after Dexter its Ray Donovan ( Leiv Schrieber). Whoo! I've got double duty tonight.
I have to say I was happily surprised to see Idris Elba's name pop up, Weegie. There is something about a black guy with a Euro accent that make me go "interested!" That doesn't mean I was a fan of Milli Vanilli, though. LOL He loses the accent so fast it's amazing, too. Weegie, you should lean to play MW3:Call of Duty as Idris has a lead role in the European campaign, and we all know Tim voices a supporting character, Grinch.
Other people I have a strange attraction to run the gamut between the likes of Prince Harry and Journalist Sebastian Juenger. Completely Bizarre, I know!

Okay, Alex O'Loughlin, Daniel Sunjata, the aforementioned Idris Elba, by weegie and mcm. These men are simply beautiful. Does anyone disagree? If you do, it's okay. Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. We all love Timothy. From there , things get personal. And mcm, I am not usually attracted to black men. I am not at all a bigot, don't get me wrong. I love Idris Elba, as does my son's fiance. I bought her season 1 of "Luther" for Christmas, and who did not love him in "The Wire?" And Lenny Kravitz, Eric Benet, Mathew St. Patrick----just try to hold me back. But mcm? Prince Harry? This is way beyond me, LOL!

I cheat on Kyle Chandler (of the same show) with TO. These two are all I have time for. And here are a few reasons why:
