My binging consists of 5 - 7 hours of FX magicical rebroadcasting - watched 5 hrs of season 2 ending with Bloody Harlan at 5AM on the 18th. Then on Thurs the 23rd I get two hours of season 4 and then on May 25th 5 more hours of season 3....and I could lie and say I am bored...but that man has a walk that makes my heart race and 5 hours is just the perfect cure...or relief...OMG he's 45 and only getting better. Just hope he doesn't wear that fine body out with all the summer movie plans...cause season 5 starts filming on October and he is usually on set after Labor Day to "assist" in that executive producer hat....ha ha ha

He'll probably come back to the Justified set in even more awesome shape ... if that is even possible!

I've been binging on Dexter. Now I've run out of DVDs. Season 7 isn't available here for another couple of weeks and I am going NUTS waiting for it.

I've been binging on Supernatural, I just finished the seventh season. I'm about to start on the eighth season, I have it on Amazon Instant on my Wii.

I haven't been binging on anything, in fact I just discovered that before I watch the new series of Case Histories with Jason Isaacs, I need to watch the previous season which I recorded on Sky+ and still haven't watched

I've been binging on Game of Thrones, mostly having to replay current episodes and review past seasons to have a clue as to what is happening in the plot. LOL.
Swords. Leather. Dirt. Dragons. Handsome long haired men. Dirty handsome long haired men. Wearing leather. And swords. Fighting wars against people with dragons..
There you have it.

I am watching GOT too....it is a tad confusing! I have also started watching Hannibal but it's even more gruesome than The Following was.

Somebody at work is encouraging me to watch GOT. If it's really hard to follow I won't bother. I have great trouble following complex plots and eventually just give up.

Was The Following good? Does it have another season coming? I was interested in watching.

It was a big disappointment to me, I had high hopes because I really like all the leads. I won'r be watching the next series.

Did you not like it because of its gore or was it just not good?

It became predictable and the ending was so clichéd, the gore didn't really bother me. In my opinion the writing was just not up to scratch (Justified spoils us!)

I will be binging on Justified this weekend! I'm a teacher (finished the school year today, off for the summer). My husband is working this weekend, and I'm free to watch whatever I want ALL DAY. Guess what that will be. Justified! I'm trying to decide.... Season 1 or Season 2. Or maybe I'll skip around and watch the most Raylan-centric episodes, with lots of that walk, and maybe some of the sexy scenes.
Can you tell I'm looking forward to this?

I love Dexter (always been a fan, even read all the books) and Game of Thrones. It took a while to get into Game of Thrones. I have to ask my husband about the characters. He's read the books and knows the characters, but he's disappointed sometimes when the show doesn't follow the books.

I'm binging on "The Shield." I've just started season 4 and was very surprised to see Natalie Zea in season 3 playing yet another poorly fleshed out, unfaithful female character shagging the male cop lead. The actress really needs to break free of this very narrowly defined typecasting. Before that I binged on season 2 of "The Walking Dead."

That's exactly how I feel about Justified. I wish I could see it all for the first time again.

I've lent my Deadwood box set out to several different colleagues at work. I tell everybody- watch the DVD extras and listen to the commentaries.
If you go back to 2004 and listen to TO he sounds like a totally different man. A goof ball in fact. Kind of like he was on the season one Justified commentary.
Now that he wears the producer hat he acts a lot more "careful" - mature and thoughtful and controlled during Justified PR; A bit more of a grown up if you will. I like to think that inside he's dying to let out that kooky jovial juvenile streak.
Or, maybe just having a teenage daughter has aged him. Ahh ha ha ha ha .
Oh and on the other topics, The Following sucked. A waste of time. Both the spousal unit and I said multiple times "why are we still watching this?" A complete waste of 3 talent leads time.
Game of Thrones is a bit complex but there is a web of Throne-ies to visit for reference. People that have read the books like it. Right Now, in what? S3?, there are too many little stories going on that no one gets enough screen time. There is an undercurrent of mysticism this season which can get a little trite.
Season 1 should be watch for delicious Sean Bean as the good guy Patriarch, and the young men who play his sons are long haired and dreamy. Nobody does the middle ages better than Bean.

I recently binged on 'House of Cards,' and I can see why Kevin Spacey is getting all the buzz.
WARNING: If you are an animal lover ... skip past the first scene (about 2 mins.) of the pilot. Seriously.

MCM- I agree about Sean Bean (oh my Boromir). I started watching GOT because of him. I also agree about The Following. My husband kind of liked it, but I though it was a waste of time.

I've seen people say I envy you to first time viewers of Deadwood..... I totally understand the feeling now. It is So. Good. It's not my normal kind of show. I'm usually not into historical kinds of entertainment, but I had just finished reading Cold Mountain (set during the civil war, excellent novel) and it kind of got me into the groove. Plus, duh, Mr. O. And I must say.... DAMN that man looks good. I used to be skeptical that I could find him hot in that goofy mustache- I was way wrong. Yum yum yum yum. And the sideburns? Yes please. I love the moments of unexpected kindness in the show. It's just phenomenal. I would be interested in listening to the commentaries and watching any featurettes, but I'm not sure I'm motivated enough to go rent the DVDs to get a hold of them. We'll see how obsessed I get with the show, then I may have to.

I will start my TO binging when all of the series have finished for the season. Mad Men has one more ep. I don't know if I will watch The Killing this time around. The Good Wife is over, so is Castle, and so is everything else that I am into. I will watch all of season 4 again on my DVR, and I may watch Deadwood for the third time. DO watch all of the extras. This show was rude, crude and socially unacceptable, but it is totally excellent. One of TV's best as far as I am concerned. I think they could have done another season, so I was crushed that it was cancelled. You really do get VERY invested in the characters.
As for GOT, my son played a DVR'd season 1, ep. 1 for me when I was visiting him one day. I found it interesting, but I knew I would be confused. My son read all of the books when he was young, so he can follow everything. He has a friend who is a wonderful singer and had a band called "Winterfell" (name taken from GOT) for a number of years. They never got national recognition, but were heavily followed in a tri-state area where we live. So my son is an avid devotee. Me---not so much.
I never got into The Following. The "gore factor" was a turn-off for me. Given some of the shows that I watch and love, you might think that I am a sissy. No so. But I don't go in for the gratuitous stuff and I think this was violence and torture for it's own sake, and I'm just not into that.
So----I am looking forward to binging on Justified 4 as soon as I can. Next to season 2, it's my favorite.
Once you've satisfied your TO cravings, may I suggest "The Wire?" There are many critics who rate this as the number one series ever. It is rough and gritty, but impossible to put aside until you have finished it. It's set in Baltimore, so I know a bit about the city, living not too far away. That was part of the draw for me, but the stories and the acting are top notch, and the fact that it is reality based was a plus for me.
