Monday, Wkw, Remember in Same Time Next Year the guy's son was killed in vietnam while the woman became a peachnick that would translate to either of Bush's wars and the Occupy movement...just sayin...Wasn't that a Norman Lear production?
spooky wow, huh?

To clear up...Ellen Burstyn was the star on Broadway and then the movie. I like Jennifer Garner but have doubts about Tina Fey. I just could see TO really making the role all his and his facial talent would be just so super. They would needan updated script and that is in the works. I want him not to be the "also ran" but one of two leads and given full rope to spread those so talented wings and show us (well we already know)what he can do...and chaharcter studies bring out so much in TO.

Thanks Dolphin re my avatar. I also liked Same Time Next Year. TO would be great as George. This thread makes me want to watch it again. On the IMDb Board they have a "conversation" about who would be good in a remake. The posts started in 2007. The last post was made in 2011.

subtle way to say we need to get in there and suggest TO. He would be so darn good.

I think Han Solo will be played by a relatively young actor because 1) hollywood is youth crazy and 2) possible sequels. RDJ playing Iron Man is a freakish exception. The characters are older, therefore the actors will need to be older as well. RDJ (at 47) is not the only exception to that rule. Mark Ruffalo - 'The Hulk" is 44 Jeremy Renner, also in the Avengers (I forget who he plays) is 41. All in TO's age-range. Well, I guess I stand corrected. But the majority of super hero actors is younger. I thought maybe the new Star Wars movies were going to be more like reboots of the old ones...

That Renner Boy plays Hawkeye in the Avengers. His character's actual name is Clint Barton, which is what everyone calls him in the movie. I wasn't all that impressed with the Avengers. I LOVE RDJ as Iron Man. He's such a douche. Antihero superhero. I can't imagine anyone else in that role, but I'm sure if TO had done it first, we could say the same thing of him. I'd love to see him kicking ass again, like in Hitman, but with a good script and the ability to emote. I still just want more TO. I'd take anything; little cameo roles, headlining, whateve. Is that Raylan leaning against the bar in Dexter, or killing some zombies in Walking Dead? YES PLEASE. Anyone else miss the crossover?
As an aside, I couldn't believe Mark Ruffalo was Hulk. I wish they would have gotten Eric Bana or Ed Norton for the Avengers. H0 hum.

I was on my phone and it's hard to type so, well, less is more. It's my understanding that the new Star Wars movies will be the third trilogy in the story (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi being the middle trilogy) so Hans Solo, Luke, Leia and the others would be older in the final three movies. And alpha, I would watch Mark Ruffalo in ANYTHING. I thought he was very believable as Bruce Banner. But - and I'm showing my age here - I always think of Bill Bixby when I think of the Hulk.

A lof of it being pure speculation and/or crap. lol Mark Ruffalo is cute. I too loved the 70s Hulk TV show with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. I haven't seen it in ages...

I'm the same, Work. The late Bill Bixby (aka Eddie's father in the 'Courtship of Eddie's Father').
"You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

Oh gosh, The Courtship of Eddie's Father. I loved that show when I was young. The father and son chats were so endearing.
Also not a big fan of movie remakes. But I could see TO in something like the Harrison Ford- Kelly McGillis movie "Witness."

Very good idea. He would be great in something like Witness.

That's two Harrison Ford roles suggested so far....What about one like where Ford was the heavy, he was a chemist who drowned his lover in the lake behind his house. wife Michelle Pfieffer figures it out. I think it was called What lies beneath.
I like those kind of roles where a character does and about face; from good guy to heavy. It's one of the reasons I was a fan of APGA. I loved how the reveal was played out for Steve Zahn.
So, some kind of good guy to heavy "turn" type of role would be a nice challenge for Tim.

SPOILER ALERT- If you haven't seen APGA, this comment is of no concern to you.
Steve Zahn continues to surprise me. APGA was so different from what he'd been in previously. He's usually so zany and over the top. Holy crap does he do subtle, quiet, deranged well. Startled me how unassuming that character was and how well he executed that switch.

I think men in their forties are at their very best. Have to agree with all of you. And, wkw, when you suggested Tina Fey, I was at first skeptical. Wasn't sure where you were coming from. But the more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea very much. She is attractive and funny and might be the perfect counterpart to Tim.
