Tweet from W Earl Brown man, I wish I saw Tim Olyphant on Monday. Or Tuesday. Or Wednesday... Some people have all the luck.

the script is going well...my bet they have spoken to both Timothy and Ian...Makes no sense to do a script if either of them had no interest. But everything is rumor and then the real is more secret. We can hope...plus I want the Justified movie and Timothy and Walton doing their magic.

agreed. They've all indicated they would be happy to do it. Milch just has to write the script, get it greenlit and then they can talk logistics like budget, production and schedules.

It may be sacrilidge to say it here, but I think I want a Deadwood Movie more than a Justified movie. Either way we would get plenty of TO but Deadwood just seems unresolved in a way that Justified, with it's great finale, does not.

The Deadwood chatter is picking up and again my bet is Timothy has been contacted and even spoken to Milch but he is not a kiss and tell man. The overall increase in chatter bodes well!!!!!!!

I really hope this is going to happen, but you never know until it's actually done in this business. I recently watched the first episode of Westworld from HBO, and even though it's quite a different thing and wasn't too bad, I couldn't help but feel resentful that they produced this ahead of a Deadwood movie. MerkenBlame David Milch, who as far as we know hasn't turned in the dang script! It's not like they chose to do Westworld instead of doing Deadwood. Westworld has been in the making for years - I think HBO ordered the script in 2013. With so many episodes and special effects, it was a huge undertaking.

I know and you're right of course ... it was more an emotional reaction than a logical one Since there isn't exactly a lot of material with a western theme on TV these days I couldn't help but compare. Hmmm sounds like HBO is pretty desperate to save True Detective. Season two was just terrible. By the way, Tim would be amazing in any role. Here's hoping Milch feels like writing him a part.

YES!!!!!!!! This is fantastic. I anxiously await news that it's been greenlit and scheduling is next. By the way, think of how much money they could raise if he did a future Omaze contest to win a trip to the Deadwood set and be an extra. (Just thinking charitably!)

Wow, that's fantastic. Yes, I would imagine that if he has one, that Tim does too! I think I will have to rewatch it pretty soon.

A bit more detail for Deadwood diehards... Sounds like W. Earl Brown got pieces directly from Milch through frequent contact with him, before finally reading the whole thing. It's possible Tim has also been kept in the loop all this time and has been keeping his poker face on. www.spin.com/2017/05/deadwood-movie-script-hbo/

Woohoo for Tim in Deadwood!
I am dreaming about Tim's look as Seth this time around π I must admit that Deadwood was a bit too violent for me and I only watched to see the fire in Tim's intense eyes and those lips under that mustache. Also every time he had to walk around I couldn't take my eyes off the screen π
I am wondering if Tim will go for the dark hair and mustache or have a mix of gray and white in his hair π
I don't really even care about the other actors in Deadwood or the storyπ Can't wait to see some passionate love scenes with Tim also β€οΈ

I tried to bingewatch it but I could not, no way! Each episode was like an emotional bomb because of the violence and intensity. But so brilliant. I think he'll definitely go grey naturally, to be authentic, sort of like he has in SCD. I'm guessing Milch wrote the script for 10-15 years after so everybody will have needed to age. I'm not sure what kind of mustache that will look like. This was from five years and looks like he would have a mostly brown mustache and gray beard if he grew it out: Can I tell you how overjoyed I am that my life is so silly I can ponder the greyness of Tim Olyphant/Seth Bullock's facial hair??
