I found the bashful badger remarks rather cold and very critical...It almost made me wonder if in fact he gets TO's super sense of humor or that he guards the truth about his kids like any father would...unless that father uses his kids for the publicity...which is NOT TO. As to the cowboy thing...oh yeah he is the hottest but a better pic would only cause women to faint...the man is just too hot for labels.

Thanks, lbookie! I think you're right ripetebook. The guy writing the blog doesn't get TO's sense of humor. And he criticizes Tim's use of Facebook? REally? Tim doesn't need to keep a FB page updated. Do most celebrities do this? It seems like a silly thing to point out and not really important.
I have to say- I watched the video linked on the blog of Walton and Timothy's conversation (I hadn't seen it before and probably used up most of our bandwidth for the day, but I had to do it!) Tim is so charming and sexy in this. His arms, and his laughter and.... gah! I just wanted to jump into his lap!

Besides timothy Olyphant, Viggo and Hugh Jackman are my runners up on that cowboy list. I loved both Hildago and Australia, so boo on the critics. I also thought Daniel Craig was a surprisingly acceptable cowboy in his vs. Aliens battle. And who can't love the gay cowboys of Brokeback Mountain? I never cease to well up at the end of that movie when Jack dies. The worst cowboy on the list? Johhhhnnn Tra-volt-aaaaaah Say it like (Oprah). Maybe it's just that the Urban Cowboy is so dated? I just can't buy the scientology pilot guy as a cowboy. As far that the critic goes, post a rebuttal. Especially since he made fun of the fan fraus like us having fun and whooping it up over the lovely Tim on the Ellen show. Maybe the bashful badger ought to be put in a knapsack and dispatched with a shotgun such as Coover's "pet", "Charlie" popwatch.ew.com/2011/03/31/justified-coover-charlie/

It was a weird article- talking about how cool he was then knocking him down a bit. But I thought it was worth sharing.

It was a bit weird, but I'd never read it so, it was fun.
MCM, I was only able to watch BBM once. Couldn't take it a second time, esp. now that poor Heath is no longer with us. Lovely movie.

I was looking for a thread to use for this comment...hope it's ok here. I was watching the first season of "LUCK" the HBO series, got it from the library. Didn't know much about it, except that it was from David Milch. Since we have one degree of separation from Milch (Deadwood creator) to TO, I thought some folks might be interested in this show. Enjoyed it very much and was happy to see Dennis Farina in it as well. The day I was done with the season, I went online to find out about a second season. Found not only that there was no 2nd season, because of terrible accidental deaths of three horses, they pulled the plug...(show set at the race track, mostly) but also that that day Dennis Farina died of cancer, age 69. Really enjoyed him a lot of roles -Law and Order, Midnight Run (Robert DeNiro film)...and he had another connection to Justified in that he was Karen Cisco's dad in the film OUT of SIGHT (Jennifer Lopez/George Clooney in the Elmore Leonard based movie.) So , just wanted to acknowledge his passing. Hope you all have a great weekend.

I was sad about no second season, but totally understood the position HBO was in. David Milch doesn't have much luck with them (pun intended), does he? Dennis Farina was a good actor. I wasn't that fond of him on L&O, but probably that was just because he replaced Jerry Orbach, and I loved Jerry Orbach. Another one gone too soon. The show was never the same without him.

Agreed, it was hard to come in to that show after Jerry Orbach, he was great. Must have been somewhat intimidating to fill that role...but he grew on me after awhile. But the show was never as good as when Jerry Orbach and "Mike Logan" were partners, IMO.
I wonder what David Milch will do next?

Milch should give us the long promised Deadwood movies. But gee, his cast is working on other things....Paula Malcomson is on Ray Donovan now.

sorry, when I tried to open it, it was gone. I have it saved on Favorites, but don't know how to move that anywhere else.
Anyway, in 2011, he says people would always ask him about the Deadwood movie but no one ever talked to him about making a Deadwood movie, there was never a plan that he was aware of. Now, he says people ask him when are you going to make the Deadwood film? and he thinks how odd to ask someone "when are you going to go back to that job you used to have, you know, the one that is over and gone and doesn't exist anymore, when are you gonna go back to work on that?" so the answer is never.
In an interview from the radio, made a couple of years ago, this subject came up and he basically said the same thing and added that you can't get 4 cast members of deadwood together for lunch easily, how could you get them all lined up for a proposed film?
I wish it could happen...

now that would be interesting...love those 2. I would watch Ian McShane in anything, if he has good dialog. Love to listen to his voice.

Isn't he just the Bizz....I loved these short humourous interviews, there were three in all that I saw, this one, one you posted on the "Guest Roles" page and one where he talks about "hat hair".

I just read Pronto, by Elmore Leonard....I thought I was getting a book of short stories, like "Fire in the Whole" but instead this was a whole novel, with Raylan as main character. Published in 1995, before Justified was conceived. There were so many references to incidents used by the writers on Justified, it was fun to read...hardly put it down from the time I got home from the library. A different "Raylan" for sure, but some overlap.

hi lbookie- had to react to this bashful badger site...kind of a jerk, I think and obviously does not appreciate TO's sense of humor.
But I really wanted to ask this...I see references occasionally to TO's facebook page...I know nothing about facebook, but even just a glance at the two or three sites I found named Timothy Olyphant's facebook page...it was pretty obvious , I thought, that this is not his work, his words, etc. Clicking on the "about" on the first page leads to an explanation that this is a fan site, not by Timothy Olyphant. This one had 93,000 "likes" or something close to that. How is it possible that someone can name a site after a person and proceed to fill it with dialog and photos as if the real TO were doing this? There is so much I don't know about all the social media, but since this "badger" brought it up, I wanted to throw out that question. I can guess that if TO had such a site it would be way cooler being the artistic/creative/fine arts kind of guy, but I would question why he would want one. He seems to be all about privacy and family and work and not self promotion of this kind. any ideas? And by the way, I don't watch Ellen regularly due to work schedule, but I have seen his appearances there. I think he's in his element with the easy kind of interview she does, the stories about the kids and the pets and references to his long marriage, he can say as much or as little as he wants to and keeps it very entertaining. Very charming always. by contrast, when he was on Letterman a couple years ago, he was just as entertaining, but it was obvious that Letterman had no clue about "Justified"- TO still charmed, but he had to work harder, I thought. yes, I ramble...sorry.

Alpha! good to see you, girl. Hope RL is treating you well. Hiya MCM! I've missed you ladies, too! Real life still sucks more than I care to admit, but at least the credit card company is in the rear view and I've made a big ole dent in the student loans. I spent all day at the country fair, scamming on all the good lookin' farm boys. Of course, it was flipping hotter than hell out today, so, while I was going for "dewy," I think I only managed "clammy." Still hopelessly single.

alphamre, I hope you had a great day at the fair and forgot all your cares. Welcome back,by the way. My city has one of the oldest fairs in the US. My late husband would not miss it for anything. We took our kids every year and didn't miss a thing. For a number of years we lived within walking distance. We'd put the baby in the stroller and just GO! I have not been there since my husband died and my kids moved away to do their thing career wise. But I kind of miss it. The food was great---even if it promised premature death. We saw some GREAT musical acts---Chicago,The Beach Boys, Miami Sound Machine, The Doobies---this was in the 80's. The financial things that you mention are not lost on me and my kids would say a big "Amen!" A great fair is a wonderful escape! Hope you have good days ahead and again, welcome back.

Hey, Alpha! Good to have you back. How's your summer? We're re-watching Justified (to keep us off the streets until the premiere in January). Trying to cover 2 episodes a week. A fun thing, no pressure. Jump in whenever you like. This week, we're on Blind Spot (episode 7) and episode 8 from season 1 (title escapes me).
