Just look at the bright side...we were pretty much passed over last year...and this year like after season 2 we are getting lots of acting approval. And since it is Walton and Jim...they overlap with Timothy so those three can ignite the critics to vote across the board...get all three in the winning category. And it is "an honor to be nominated"....Timothy is one who takes that to heart....

Justified Season 1 remains in the top 20 of Amazon Prime. Word is finally getting out about what a great show this is. The ratings *should* be the best ever for Season 5. Here's hoping!!

Margo Martindale is in a new comedy with Beau Bridges (I think) I don't know what it's called. It's called 'The Millers" www.imdb.com/title/tt2737290/

I want to watch House of Cards, Dolphin, so thanks for the heads up about the first episode. They killed a wolf-puppy in Ep 2 S1 of Game of Thrones and I never went back. (Dog-lover that you are, mcm, I'm surprised you kept watching! ) You are welcome. I don't like watching depictions of anything with animals. I still haven't recovered from War Horse. Even if it's part of a good story ... I don't need to *see* it.

Dolphin, I have never gotten over "Old Yeller," for God's sake. I can't watch any kind of animal movie.
Now, as to the Critic's Choice awards, I'm very, very happy. Good luck to everyone from Justified who has been nominated. I am proud to be one of the rarefied group that loves this show!

I hope our Justified family (out there in TV Land) is getting bigger and bigger every season. News like this helps.

ibookie, that blue circular thing at he end had me in stitches. It reminded me of the leg lifter that they gave me in therapy when I had my second hip replacement. (The first time around, they had me starting to lift my leg by myself. Even on painkillers, this is awful. ) With the second hip, I got a leg lifter which is nothing short of a piece of heaven, therapy-wise. Couldn't believe that I saw something that looked just like it in this video. What was it really? I've never seen the movie.

Weegie, loving your new icon!! Is that the scene where Raylan turns his back and walks away, knowing Sammy Tonin's plans for Nicky Augustine?

Sorry, Walt lost to Michael Cudlitz (for Southland). Cudlitz had such a good final season story line.

TO lost to Bryan Cranston. Oh, rats. That's all, folks. (They showed Walton and Jim Beaver at their table, but I saw no TO.)

No one in Ireland knows about it, I don't think its actually shown here and you can only get in on Netflix. Of course you can watch it at a UK pace but we've just gotten season 4. It was pure chance I came across it after I bought season 1 and 2 dvd. I think its very universal and its a shame it has so little cover, even in the USA

Know what? In the final analysis, it's the viewers who end up being the ultimate determiners of the success of a show. My son loaned me his boxed set of "The Wire" which I watched during the past year. It was roundly ignored by the award shows. But it ended up being praised as one of the best series of all time. Nothing can take away from that. Shows come and shows go, but viewers keep the praise and the memory alive. After all is said and done, it is often the critics who end up seeming to be the losers. HBO has never been forgiven for cancelling "Deadwood." We can all name a show that we loved that was ignored. But we know what we saw was new and fresh and wonderful. I hope the PTB and the cast and crew of "Justified" bear this in mind as they slog through awards season. They are well loved.

I just found series one and two of The Wire in a charity shop and intend blitzing it when I get home from my holiday, I have heard only good things about it and it has Idris Elba, which is a bonus.
