Excellent news, wkw. Thanks so much for keeping us in the loop. I feel awful because things IRL got crazy for me for a while and I never sent him that card I meant to. I'm a lazy slug!

On 8/6 I had posted that I had two friends in addition to westtexas who were seriously ill and that it was a source of serious concern for me that so many near and dear were suffering. Today I got a call from the sister of one of these long time friends who has been plagued with serious illness for several years. She had suddenly passed away. She had been an awesome friend to me for many years before moving away some years ago. We had kept in touch and she was so positive in light of overwhelming health problems. The second friend has suffered a serious setback in the last week and I am really concerned for his future.
I am going to continue to pray for Westtexas. I hope his outcome is for the very best. And I hope he will feel comfortable enough to communicate with us. We know not the day or the hour, Biblically speaking.
Let us pray for a future for him that is as hopeful and full as it can be.

mondayschild, the last message I got said that he got your card. It really moved him. Hopefully he will be back to his old antics soon.
I'm so sorry about your friend.

Whew! So Glad to hear! Hey, I'm an agnostic and even I talked to the Big Man about WT. With so much silence I was so worried!
Monday, sorry for your loss.

Monday, I'm so sorry for your loss.
Not taking away from your loss, I know something about how you feel. I lost my best bud since high school very unexpectedly (aneurysm) and another dear friend through a recurrence of breast cancer ... within 2 years of each other. They were my age, my cohorts. They both left children behind. They left us far too young. And I miss them terribly to this day.
It's so sad to lose someone close. But when deaths seem to come in waves and/or we lose someone much too soon ... it's so tough. Prayers to your friends and to you.

Thank you, wkw, mcm, and Dolphin, for your kind words. I'm still trying to process everything.
Let's keep the good thoughts coming for westtexas. He has to be very strong to have come through all of this; I really hope he continues to get better.

Thank you so much to everyone for all your prayers for me and my family. I can't express how much that means to me and the whole family. I love you all and have missed you very much. I'm still having problems remembering words, so if I blank on a post, that's why.
Dolphin, I owe you an apology. The only excuse I have for that is I wasn't myself at the time. If I was, I would have found the thread amusing. Again, my apologies.
And again, thank you everyone!! By the way, wkw, Siobhan says Howdy.

westteas, I appreciated the video. But not in the way that you might expect. I am a Christian. Not a "crazy Christian," but a Christian, none the less. Christmas is a Christian holiday. If it weren't for the celebration of the birth of Christ, we would not have Christmas at all. That being said, I think we have to get over all of this "politically correct" crap.
I live in PA. Have done so all of my life. Don't understand Texas AT ALL. And I am not an expert on Native American culture. But I respect you and your beliefs. If you want to say " Happy holidays," or "Merry Christmas" or anything else, it's just fine by me. I have friends of every culture, religion, sexual preference, etc. I wish my Jewish friends a happy Hanukkah. (Which is not the "Jewish Christmas", by the way, although it falls at roughly the same time as Christmas.)
My point is that we all share American soil. We may have different beliefs and be of different persuasions, but we are all Americans.
We live in a very diverse society. The person living next door to us may be radically different in ideology. But they are human beings. We prayed for you because you are one of us. You matter to us. It always amazes me how we can become so connected to people that we know only by online connections. Your dear wife PMed me on the FX site with an address where I could reach you. I don't have an account there, and frankly the holidays were so hectic that I never got around to setting one up. I hope she will forgive me. I still do not have all of my Christmas decorations stored away. It's hard when you live alone to take care of everything. My late husband loved to decorate and help with the Christmas dinner. I still host a big family sit down dinner for my family at Christmas--- eleven adults, one toddler, and two large dogs. My oldest was not able to get home this year. He usually arrives a few days before Christmas and helps me a lot. I was pretty much stuck with everything this year and it was daunting. We are revising our plans for next year to make it easier.
I am glad that you are staying in touch here or on the FX site, although they have made it very difficult at times. When you became ill, we were all frantic for information. You DIL kept in contact through wkw, and your cousin, bless her heart, relayed cards. I pray that you are feeling better. You are our friend always and if there is any need , we will pray as hard as we can for you. Please do no lose touch with us. You are more important to us than you can imagine.

I am so happy you are here and getting better. We all continue to pray for your complete recovery. Greetings from the Great Northwest to you and yours. It's cold and wet today (yet with good clean air, snow capped mountains in the distance, and evergreen trees). Can't wait for tonight's new episode.

Hi WT! You and I had a couple of conversations about horses many months ago. I just didn't have the time to keep up with the FX site. No need for you to remember me, but I'm glad you're feeling better and are joining this group of loyal Justified/Olyphant fans!
