Who would I *like* to meet? In the future? Meeting Kyle Chandler is on my bucket list. And I wouldn't mind meeting TO ... not one single bit. Of course, it would be 100 times more fun if you guys were there!

I can honestly say that I would be too terrified of my reaction to want to meet any famous person I admire. Like Clover, I'm afraid it would only end with me embarrassing myself in the worst possible way.
I would, however, love to sit in the same general vicinity and observe whilst remaining unnoticed. ;D

katco, Paul Newman was my all time favorite. I would have probably been as hesitant to approach him as you were. He is one of our all time, knock down, drag out, great actors. Interestingly enough, I look upon him as I do Timothy. I wasn't really a fan of his early work; he was just too pretty. It was when he got into his forties that he really became his most beautiful. I agree Monday. Paul Newman and Timothy are both better with age - like a fine wine I guess. (I'll have a taste). Also, I had always heard that Chad Everett was arrogant but I didn't see him that way at all. He was one of the nicest guys I met. I was sad to see he had died.

Also, I had always heard that Chad Everett was arrogant but I didn't see him that way at all. He was one of the nicest guys I met. I was sad to see he had died. According to Wikipedia: "He had a much publicized argument with feminist actress Lily Tomlin during the taping of the March 31, 1972, episode of The Dick Cavett Show. Tomlin became so enraged when Everett referred to his wife in a joke as "my property" that she stormed off the set and refused to return."Since his death, I've read Chad Everett was pretty conservative in his politics. Most of us fans were either unaware or didn't care (because he didn't make a big deal of it) ... unlike today. Yes! I would definitely put Paul Newman, Chad Everett, and TO into the "Men Who Age Like a Fine Wine Club."

Wow it is a whole different world in Cali, isn't it? I live in Wisconsin, so I've only met retired Green Bay Packers. Me and a group of fans met INXS after a concert in a bar on a rare trip for me to Canada. I think I would melt if I met TO. I would get a little star struck I'm afraid. Would love to meet Aaron Rodgers, one of my faves.

[...] Of course, it would be 100 times more fun if you guys were there! Hahaha! I had the exact same idea the other day. Wouldn't it be cool -- for us, I mean haha -- if we as group got to meet TO and have our picture taken with him? Well, a girl can dream. I'm pretty certain that if I ever got to meet him, I would try to talk to him and sure as hell I would screw up my English and make myself look the total fool that I am.

That's an awesome dream! LOL We could all keep each other in check OR TO would find himself in a lot of trouble.

We could spread the foolish around a bit, you mean. Distribute it evenly, so it's not so concentrated on one person security could easily haul off. Of course, then there's a MOB of crazy and not just a person. He might fear for his safety with all of us (save the ones from Southern California who are used to the famous) measuring his finger, drooling over the way he licks his lips like he does and talks with his hands, basking in the glow of him... you know, general fangirling. I wonder if he would do that? We could call ourselves the TO fan club or TO's Superfans so we sound legit ( ) and ask him. We could raise money for plane tickets to help our friends overseas. Uh oh. Gears are turning. Basking in his glow got me thinking too... I wonder what he smells like. I'm not sure if he's a c0logne or aftershave kinda guy... he's pretty laid back. Maybe he just smells like chlorine from the pool? Or shaving cream. He's always drinking coffee, maybe he smells like that... ah the possibilities.

This is a funny thing about John Oates. For many years we had an exterminator who looked like John Oates only better. He was really very cute, and he was a part-time musician/songwriter. We went to see him locally at one of the clubs and he was quite good. He eventually ended up in Nashville and don't know what ever happened to him after that.
I'm still a Hall and Oates fan---have a lot of their stuff, going all the way back to early tapes.
I really never got into Lou Reed or Bread, but there's something out there for everybody.

Depends on what you meet by "met". I shook hands with Russell Crowe, told him "Thanks for the great concert, I luv your music, babble babble babble." When I finally stopped babbling, he smiled, nodded and said "cool". LOL
When I was little, I went to a lot of classical concerts and I always went back stage and got an autograph from the star....opera singers, pianists, etc. Big names of the day, but I think you're all too young to remember!
I've met Jonathan Groff of Broadway's "Spring Awakening" and who played Jesse of Vocal Adrenaline on "Glee". He's a good friend of my daughter's.
I know there are more, but we've had the 27-month-old granddaughter here and my mind is blown. Them little suckers are TIRING!!

I am laughing at the fragrance conversation. So just to recap: OLYPHANT ... a fragrance for you serious shi$kickers who can also be ... laid back.Ingredients: Chlorine, single malt Scotch, cannibus, ... Perhaps TO would lend his perfect stare to the ad campaign (to also be called "The Olyphant," as in the Zoolander 'Blue Steel' or 'Magnum' looks)? Feel free to add to ...

Get on this yesterday people who make commercials. "I don't always smell like I've been smoking grass, full of sass and whooping ass all day long, but when I do, I prefer to smell like Olyphant." Olyphant. The smell of sexy death wrapped in swagger and soaked in bourbon.

And mines just a little creeper right now. Not even running around or sassing off yet. She sure does love TO, though. Stares at my screen saver when I hold her and check emails.

I don't have Photo Shop, but a small version of these white oak bourbon barrels would be a perfect container for a bottle of OLYPHANT.

I like the barrel idea for the bottle, dolphin, but is anyone else here old enough to remember when Avon's men's cologne would come in those glass bottles? I remember my dad had one shaped like a horse, I think, and another that was shaped like a car. If they don't go with the barrel idea, this should be shaped like a cowboy hat. I can see the commercial....it starts with the stare, then he turns away and all we see is his back when he says the line, then tosses the hat behind him which morphs into the cologne bottle. Or maybe I just want to be able to watch him walk away. Over and over again.

You do realize she was joking, right? Well, we all agree that he is ugly, don't we? Of course I know! Lol. Since she was obviously "lying" I take it to mean that he smells good. Poor Natalie always gets asked about what Tim is like and she is running out of things to say. lol

This thread is hysterical! You ladies made my day. ;D Hey, isn't today (August 6th) the day they draw the winner's name? I did not enter--- learned about the sweepstakes too late. But I'm fairly certain I'd turn into an idiot around TO.... Then throw alcohol into the mix (I've never been a drinker)---- guaranteed total self humiliation. ....................................................................................... Just visited the sweeps site. It says "Congrats, Dean." So I have to assume someone named Dean, generally a dude's name, is the winner, not a member of the TO estrogen brigade.

Ahhhhh, but Work ... here's the beauty of it. The fragrance bottle is inside of the barrel. I see it as hinged so that it opens up ... it's the packaging. The fragrance bottle inside can be anything you want. LOL It could be gun. This is high end stuff we're talking about here! That slinky walk, at the end of the commerical is MUST.
