Me too. I think TO would put a restraining order on me if I ever met him. He'd probably fear for his safety. I just know my ability to think would fly right out the window along with my dignity.

Timothy Olyphant, incumbent role model for tough guys with good souls. A jawline that scares knuckles into retirement, paired with eyes that beg a heart-to-heart. And a Stetson hat to boot! If this shot of Tim Olyphant doesn't say it all, what does? Well, maybe the Emmy nomination for best actor. Or perhaps his gripping roles on Deadwood & the Office. Or did we mention Damages, Rango, I Am Number Four? And the list continues, as does our respect for these acting chops.
BEST DESCRIPTION of TO I've seen....LOL....Jawline that scares knuckles into retirement!! LOL... But I LOVE the EYES BEG FOR A HEART TO HEART...Don't they just??? OMG what I'd give to spend ten seconds, let alone ten minutes with this man....I entered....Gotta try right??LOL....Good luck to all who entered....And KEEP IT TOGETHER when you and if ya get there....We'll be needing DETAILS ALL THE DETAILS....EVERY SECOND..LOL

I know. I would feel / act so emotionally retarded, I know. You just can't have the kind of fantasies I have about him and then meet the man. I would stammer like King George. It's just sooo wrong. So, so, wrong. Ah ha ha ha ha ahah. I've met lots of famous musicians...well mostly aging, used to be famous musicians, and no body ever mad me go Gah or really wowed me.
Hey, here's a question, who's the most famous person you ever met?

Most famous people I've met are Stephen King, Genie Francis and Jonathan Frakes. And that's IT. I'm curious which musicians you've met MCM. Please share.

Seriously MCM, you are not alone there....And one would think the more famous people you meet, the EASIER it would get....Heck NO....Ya still feel all that inner starstruck kid go GAWH....Lol I'd be all damn tongue tied and scared as hell to get a little liquid courage in me with him nearby....Like Alpha said, restraining orders may come about...LOL......And fantasies are what they are, they get us going....Imagine the REAL DEAL within an arm's reach....Eye, neck, hand, digit, leg and unmentionables porn??? YIKES....Down girl!! Stay!! LOL....Swoon, collapse....
Famous people I've met Hmmm.. Not in any particular order...
Ray Sharkey (of Wiseguy series back in the day) Kiefer Sutherland George Steinbrenner (Yankees Owner now deceased) David Lee Roth (when he quit playing music and became a Paramedic, we worked a job together and the patient was like Hey Man, you're that rocker dude...We were all laughing saying Nah, Dude he gets that alot though....He was so cool to work with and really became a damn good Medic I might say so myself as an experienced medical professional, he impressed me greatly..) Kathryn and Mary Crosby I have to say though were my MOST SPECIAL ones...Cause I grew up watching the Crosby Christmas specials and she was so damn funny...She handed me her purse and walked away...I was both terrified I'd lose it and honored that she trusted me like that at the same time...Lol...And she sang with no music to rehearse as I drove her to her show...PRICELESS MOMENTS...There are a few famous others that I've met, but these are the ones that I consider to be my most prized moments....And the meetings went well and I cherish those things that cannot ever be duplicated in one's lifetime...
I do certainly hope that someone from this board does get to win that prized day with TO....I know he would be just so no nonsense down to earth and friendly as all get out...Not to mention gotta be a real card in person when he doesn't have to give a sh&it that cameras are rolling....He is prolly a pisser when enibriated....And relaxed....One can only hope that STALKER TROLLS don't get their hands on that and make things messy...But the website said they do background checks on those that win....Which is a good thing....Gotta keep the man safe ya know....The Crazies are out there as we speak...LOL
Good luck ladies (and gentlemen) that entered....The winner will be announced Aug 6th thereabouts....

Just an FYI sort of thing....On David Lee Roth, there was an article out when he first became a paramedic for NYC and was riding the rig as we call it....He says in the article because he cut his hair and changed his looks a bit, that he did nearly 200 calls or so where NOBODY recognized him....Which I thought was so cool at the time I had read it...The article wouldn't say where he was working at the time, I know, but I won't say cause I don't know if he still runs in that zone....I no longer work that area myself, so it's possible he moved on as well....It's been a few years now...I know they just closed a part of it recently, so several of my old partners were shipped off to other locals and districts....Others went into the hospital itself and left the field for ER jobs....So I am not entirely sure he still does EMS here in NYC....I know in my cirles I've not seen him since that one call both our units responded to....And I didn't recognize him at first either....Must of been a nice change of pace for him to be able to do that...Blend into the real world I mean....And have some anonymity....
I think every celeb should be allowed that private life factor, don't you??

Hey, here's a question, who's the most famous person you ever met? I met Greg Norman, the golfer, at Muirfield once. I met Mike Farrell, who played B.J Honeycutt on M*A*S*H on a plane, and I was in an elevator at the Sofetel in Chicago with Eric Clapton. I tried not to stare, but then he said "Yeah, it's me." I didn't even have a piece of paper for an autograph and I was so in awe I couldn't even tell him I was from Ohio (which is where his wife is from).

It must be difficult to be a star. I can't imagine having people recognizing you all the time. I have days when I want to crawl under a rock and not see anyone I know. I would imagine they do too, but they can't even go to the drug store to pick up some midol and wine without someone wanting an autograph and photo.

Hey, here's a question, who's the most famous person you ever met? MCM, the most famous person I ever met was probably Paul Newman. When I worked for the racing school, I met a lot of stars but that was in the '80s. I met the cast of that show NYC Blue (I think that's the name of it) with Michael Nouri (SO handsome) and Betty Thomas and I can't remember the rest of their names. I also met the cast of Simon and Simon and the one with the "Kit" car. Parker Stevenson was a regular at the School. I met Robert Hayes, Cliff Robertson and Chad Everett. There were others. Tom Cruise came out with Minnie Driver but I didn't meet him and Cybil Shepard went thru the school but I didn't meet her either. I'm sure I'm missing some of them but the most famous was Paul Newman. Out of all the stars I met, he was the one I couldn't talk to. Even at the age he was then, he was so handsome and those eyes were amazing. I remember he came into our office at Laguna Seca raceway (they used to be his offices before he moved the team to CT) and didn't know how to use the copy machine. I helped him but ended up doing the copying for him. I felt like an idiot b/c I could hardly get a word out. There was another time that I went up into the classroom to watch a race. Mr. Newman had mechanical problems and was out of the race and he was there. I stayed but didn't say a word b/c I knew that the drivers who are out of the race b/c of a mechanical problem or crash usually aren't interested in talking about it. I've been perv'ing over TO so much and dreaming about him for so long, I'm afraid the same thing would happen with him so I don't think I'm going to enter this contest. I'm afraid I would make a fool of myself besides being such a lightweight when it comes to drinking nowadays that I would be under the table with half a scotch.

Wow, that's an interesting lot that you all have met. Some of you newbies might not know; my spousal unit of "twenty-something now" years is a professional drummer. By that I mean he gets paid for playing gigs. He's a mostly a blues and jazz guy. It turns out that the blues community is a small but incestuous little group so he's played with a lot of people. Last weekend it was Johnny Winter. When some of these type of acts come to town, they don't always drag a whole band with them because they're not at the top of their game, so to speak. The spousal unit is in the circle of trust so sometimes he gets the call and sometimes it will be one of our other friends. He plays in a lot of local bands as well. His band went out with the late great Jeff Healy back in the 90's. Can't say enough about what a terrific guy he was. The old ball and chain has gigged with so may people that I can even list them. Coco Montoya, Leon Russle, lots of blues guys. And just about every body from Detroit who ever had any name recognition. Then there's people you meet playing the county fairs, etc. somewhere in some forgotten Midwest town. So, overall, I would say that any of the "used to be famous" people I have met or spent any time with are just regular musicians. I've so a soft spot for those artistic moody types. Here's the spousal unit after a gig with local legend Mitch Ryder: Here's a really bad scan of a bar gig with Jeff Healy. It was in a The blues newspaper of the town. Now, don't die laughing. Here's me and Ricky Scaggs. I usually shy away from the camera buy My Mom was crazy about him I got in from of the camera. Ah ha ha ha ha ha. Why did I think that was a good look? Because it was fucking HOT at that state fair, that's way. Somewhere I have one of me and Charlie Daniels and ZZ top too. Somewhere.

Who have I met? I lived in So. Cal for 25 years, and it was easy to meet celebs from all walks of life.
I met the late Dean Martin one time at a Hamburger Hamlet. Lily Tomlin was on an airplane flight and had seat next to me when I was a kid. (LOL She yelled at the baggage guys for mishandling our dog. Yay, Lily!) I met Kevin Dobson at a tennis event, and players Ken Rosewall and Tom Okker. I met the recent late Don Grady and Cheryl Ladd in my checkout lane on a Christmas job while in college. The late Eric Douglas (son of Kirk and brother of Michael Douglas) was in a couple of my college classes. I met Judd Hirsch at the ABC Commissary (a guy I dated worked for the studio). I met Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. through a friend of mine. (Same with late astrologer Sydney Omarr.) The crew of the original "Dallas" was working near where I worked, and I met Patrick Duffy. I met Ron Howard at a restaurant called The Greenhouse. I met Mohammed Ali in an elevator several times when he had an office upstairs from where I worked. LA Mayor Tom Bradley came into our local work bar, waiting for the traffic to die down, as his office was nearby. I met Terry Sylvester of 'The Hollies' at a family gathering. My late uncle, James Griffin, was in the group 'Bread,' so him and the rest of the group. Met Cher backstage at one of their concerts. Met the bands America and Hall and Oates. Met Marcia Clark at D Land after OJ trial. Babysat David Naughton, Shannon Tweed and a horrible film crew one night during a film shoot at a hotel property in Squaw Valley of a horrible film. I met Ronald Reagan when he was governor on a high school trip to Sacramento.
That's not counting all the people I saw around ... driving ... filming ... but never met.
Most famous film/tv celeb would have to be Dino, followed by Cher, followed by Lily Tomlin.
They're all people. I wouldn't faint if I met TO, but I'd be tongue-tied and red in the face. I didn't think any of the above were hott.
Speaking of hott, RIP Chad Everett ... my very first TV crush. (Google him ... he aged sooooo well.) TO is also aging really well.

This + Mohammad Ali makes you the coolest of the cool. I LOVE everything in this quote. I wish I lived in California. I've wondered if being around fame routinely would take some of the shine off of it and apparently it does. There's just something so awesome about famous people and I don't know what or why or how, but I am a total dork around people with any sort of fame or fortune. Even our local news guys. Just a starstruck dweeb, I suppose.

I never meet anyone, living in the backwater of PA.
mcm! Mitch Ryder of Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels! Loved them back in the day! Everybody, get down!
I did see the late Steve Allen in New York.. We were going into a music store and he was coming out. He was wearing a loud plaid jacket, bright yellow slacks and a toupee. Way to blow your image.
The only person I have met up close and personal is the phenomenal trumpet player, Chris Botti. He has played at our performing arts center twice, and once I went out of town to see him at a larger venue. Our arts center seats maybe a couple of hundred people, so it is very intimate, and I love that he still does some of these shows. He always comes out into the audience for one of his numbers.( My late husband's cousin is madly in love with him and she always takes me to see him as a birthday gift.)So we are sitting in row three on the aisle where he comes to play "My Funny Valentine." She could have reached out and put her hand on any part of his body that she wished. I was afraid that there could be an incident, but she controlled herself. Afterwards, he signs autographs and chats with the hoi polloi. He is very accessible and sweet. If you don't know of him, my favorite CD's are "To Love Again," and "When I Fall in Love."(Chris played back-up for Sting until Sting told him to get out and get a career of his own because he was so good. And he really is.) I loved meeting him and talking to him.
I love Michael Buble, and would really have appreciated seeing him in a smaller venue, like when he first started out. By the time I got to see him, it was at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA, which is really a convention center. Thousands upon thousands of people. I could have saved the money and watched him on TV.

katco, Paul Newman was my all time favorite. I would have probably been as hesitant to approach him as you were. He is one of our all time, knock down, drag out, great actors. Interestingly enough, I look upon him as I do Timothy. I wasn't really a fan of his early work; he was just too pretty. It was when he got into his forties that he really became his most beautiful.

Hey Monday, I'll be you were a "Devil with a blue dress on!" LOL. Were you a fan of Lou Reed as well?
Dolphin, I loved the band Bread. David Gates was such a great songwriter. You Uncle was the piano player, right?
I used to know how to play It don't matter to me and Everything I own back when I still took guitar lessons and MS got the better of my fine motor skills. Even though I've got a blues man I'm an acoustic folkster at heart.
Ditto on Chad Everette. Handsome to the end.
Hey, FYI: When I was a young woman; My GF and I were in a club and I remember checking out the men and asking her which on she had eyes for before we pounced. I asked "Hall or Oates". LOL. There was a tall lanky blond and a stocky mustached Italian type. Ah hah hah ha ha. I went with Oates.

I am the worst at meeting famous people. Starstruck doesn't even begin to describe what happens to me. I turn to jello. I freeze in place. I couldn't put a sentence together if I had a gun to my head and the more famous, the worse it gets. Truly embarassing.

MCM, no, not the keyboard player. That was the late, great Larry Knechtel. My late uncle (Jimmy Griffin) wrote 50 percent of songs on every Bread album. He sang lead on all his Bread songs, high harmony on Gates' songs, played guitar. He was the 'cute' one, along with late, great drummer Mike Botts. (I know! My uncle has his digit extended on this album cover ... but I can't go there, he was my relative.) My sis and I liked the drummer. L to R: Larry Knechtel, Mike Botts, James Griffin, David Gates Here's Jimmy leading off a Bread concert in 1977:
