Hi guys, I just pre-ordered my Season 3 DVD on Amazon. Well worth $39.95. Although, last year when I pre-ordered from Amazon, the price went down and they sent it to me at the reduced price; which I thought was good. Just thought I would let you know.

Thanks, katco. I just checked Amazon yesterday; somehow I missed this. Will pre-order for sure (as always!)

I do this too. It's called "receiving pleasure from small things." If only they wouldn't wait until 2 minutes before the next season starts it would be so much better. Early December in time for holiday giving?? Oh well. All this is decided by men.
Be prepared for a deluge of emails from amazon.com starting about November saying that they know you pre-ordered this but they don't know what the hell is happening and do you still want to have it on pre-order. To which I reply a)yes, I did, b)I know you don't and c) Hell, yeah.

Oooh, then the UK release can't be very far away either! I hope so anyway. Do you know Weegie?

I don't know about shipping b/c I don't buy DVD's online ($19.99 at Walmart) but it was released on January 3. So maybe it will be out the first tuesday of January which just happens to be New Years day. I wasn't going to buy season 3 but it has all of this:
Nine Cast and Crew Commentaries with Graham Yost, Timothy Olyphant, Joelle Carter, Nick Searcy, Mykelti Williamson, Jere Burns and Many More! - Deleted Scenes - Outtakes - Crossing the Line: Making Season 3 - Ellstin's Joint: Noble's Holler Set Tour - Anatomy of a Stunt - Blu-ray Exclusive: A Conversation with Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins
Why couldn't they have done all this for the critically acclaimed second season?!?

I got an email today saying Amazon's estimated arrival date is January 2nd. I wonder why so late this year.

I have always done the pre-order, but I am going to wait for the reduced price . I have found that if you await a bit you can get it for about $19.99. Since I have the season on my DVR, I am waiting for the reduced price. If you have it already, it is crazy to pay the inflated price. (BTW, I always order it at reduced price with something else that I want and there fore avoid the shipping cost.)

You can get a decent blu ray player for around a hundred bucks. Honestly, it is SO worth it for the better picture quality. The people look like they are right there in your living room. ;-)

If you're gonna pay $100 for the player you should just get a PS3. You can use it to store your photos and video ans music, browse the internet, stream netflix, play music, bluray and nonbluray dvds and games for another $150.

I do have enough for a PS3, but since I already have a wii I don't know where I could put it..or if I'd be allowed to get one.

Christina I am the slimy snake that sells credit cards so I've had some practice. I wish Sony paid me. Maybe they'll see this and offer me a job. Career change in near future anyway! Got a new job!!!!

Aw, Weeg, thank you! I'm excited but trepidatious. It's only part time, which is the scary part. But, so much less pressure and it's a cause close to my heart. I'll be helping local people and not lining the pockets of some CEO. I hope that with my free time- if I make enough bank, that is- I may return to school or take up a new hobby. Leaning towards martial arts or guitar. I might focus again on horseback riding or head back to the gym so I can feel better about me. I really wanted to travel and see the west, but it doesn't seem in the cards right now. Pretty happy for the change, but being unsure about cash flow is making me a bit more anxious than I thought I might be when I said "YES! YES! YES! I'll take the job."

But Alpha...that means we will "see" less of you and therefore less of Tim, so that sucks! There! I said it; but good luck in your new venture anyway.
