We all recall the big blow up when Raylan demanded a transfer in season five...his response when all he wanted was to talk...clear the air...even apologize for the tarmac thing. I recall that clear as day!
But there was another in an earlier season...same contrite Raylan with the similar Art response!!!!! Something about a can of something that ended with Art's cruel remark that his only hope of freedom from Raylan's issues...was that Raylan would likely die soon/young!!!! Can anyone remember or recall that one? I recall that broken heart we saw on Raylan...was it after the evidence room thing?
So jog your Justified memory and help me please.

He was asking Art for a transfer back to Glynco. It was in S2, after he tells Winona that "Art knows." Meaning Art knew about the stolen money.

You sure? The anger in Art was ugly! And Raylan was crushed....plus the you'll likely die soon was cruel. Why that reaction to a Glynco transfer request? ?

Because he knew about Raylan covering for Winona AND antagonizing the Bennetts. Then the cumulation of that was the shoot out with Doyle when Art (and Tim) saved Raylan's life.

Yeah that makes sense! Thing is Raylan was Justified in his actions in a way. Without him Loretta would have been destroyed or killed! And he was wrong but saved Winona from? He was....I know...defending Raylan was always my way. In the end he did right in his take down of Boyd! Even Art acknowledged that...he changed!!!!!

The one thing I disagree with...the request for transfer to Glynco came after Helen was killed and after Winona told she was preggers!!!!! And Raylan said they need people who have shot people and Art says you got that covered! In a most sarcastic tone. It was well after or before that big talk....the bit about Raylan dying soon was more Art caring for Raylan but guarding his heart from what he felt was inevitable! Are you sure wkw99? That scene and the devastating effect on Raylan...makes the Timothy/Nick scenes so special!!!!!!!!
