Did anyone else watch? Used to love award shows til I saw how political the awards are! That Justified and Timothy were ignored still angers me. But now that the door is forever closed....I am enjoying and what I loved were the surprise winners and so far they are doing really great and I love Ricky gervais.

But now that the door is forever closed....I am enjoying and what I loved were the surprise winners and so far they are doing really great and I love Ricky gervais. Did anyone else watch? I watched. Also still pissed about Justified over the last few years...but what can you do? I figured Leonardo DeCaprio would win, I thought Tarentino would get more recognition for his film. Did not see Walton there, did see Kurt Russell from that film. I saw Mozart of the Jungle and did not think it was award worthy, but was interesting. Hoping to see "the Martian" this week. Denzel seemed to be genuinely moved and it was a nice gesture to bring his family to the stage, too bad he didn't have his glasses to read his prepared notes....always liked Denzel. He has been great in so many films. I liked Tina and Amy hosting in the past, do not care much for Ricky Gervais...did I hear him say "just kill me now?" before he made an introduction? He seems to think he is very entertaining...not my cup of tea. I like to see what the women are wearing and there were some beautiful dresses. As TO has said in the past about not being included, "Well then my evening will be free!" Can you picture the cast of the promised Deadwood movie, being front and center at a big table in a future award show like this? Maybe award shows in 2019 or 2020? we can hope!

Did watch some bit and pieces. I like Ricky Gervais in theory, and he was ok on the bits I saw. There is a clip in the Huffington Post entertainment section about the bleeped verbal entanglement between him and Mel Gibson which is kind of funny.
FYI My spell checker wont execute from this forum. does anyone else have that problem?
