The above named writer who spent 5 years on Justified has been hired by AMC to turn Elmore Leonard book "gunsights" into a series. Can anyone say yahoo! Timothy in a 1893 era show...another hat and the flavor of Elmore Leonard with a writer he spent six...five years with......can we hope? Can we wish....you tell me!!!!!!

If anyone wants to express feelings on casting TO in this touted endeavor go to deadlinetv.com. it would be that new series and working with a longtime trusted writer/executive producer!!! And neither lead is a lawman!!!!!!

It would be awesome to see Timothy in another Elmore Leonard inspired production. (We know that Elmore loved Timothy.) And it would be extra awesome to see him in a role that is not a lawman. He needs to stretch. I vote for this BIG time!

With Chris at the helm it is possible? They were both EP on Justified. And Timothy was liked and respected....then there is his talent! Can we dream? It will be a real western....with Indians and all! AMC really supports its shows. It just all feels so right. Or it just me? ??

I could imagine that many actors don't want to be pidgeon holed, and this would be the third TV Western for TO. So I can totally see him not being too interested in this.
However from my personal point of view: I love Westerns, I love Elmore Leonard, I love TO: Bring it on! That reminds me, I wanted to check out Hell on Wheels and Longmire ...

Longmire is well-worth the effort.
Not sure about the AMC show. It's another western, as someone pointed out. As much as I'd love to have TO back on the small screen, I could understand him not wanting to go that route again.

Yes western! But real western and so removed from Raylan Givens or even Seth Bullock. Plus he loved Elmore...dreamed of getting his hands on an Elmore character! And he did such justice to the one he got.
Then there is the issue of it likely not being the shitty job he feared he would have to take!
From what I read of this...Timothy gets to have some very manly work. And AMC??.?
Just feels right in so many ways...mostly the man needs work! Three smart kids and for one college is looming....

Haven't seen Hell on Wheels, but I may try it this summer... Longmire, thumbs up...it really captured my attention. I understand that Netfix is picking up their 4th season and it will start right where 3rd season left off...Should be good!

I, too, doubt that he would want to do another TV "western", but maybe if the script and the people are right. I'll have to get ahold of this book!
Sorry, Longmire fans. My hubby LOVES it, but it puts me to sleep.

Longmire left such a cliffhanger,..and no I don't have Netflix. A&E had Glades and again left a huge cliffhanger...then three days later cancelled the show. So I refuse to watch anything on that network....they do not respect the viewers.
