I wondered if anyone else is planning to watch Fargo on FX. It looks interesting, especially since Martin Freeman is in it. I generally like him.

That's the reason I intend watching it too kmmo, it starts here at the weekend. I have started watching Game of Thrones again and am just about finished True Detective (I had it on catch-up). I am also still loving The Blacklist we are way behind you on that one.

I am! These actors wouldn't come to TV for just any old series. I'm thinking ... it's going to be good!!

This does look interesting. The problem is that I have become a complete slug during the horrible winter that we have experienced. Since Justified has ended I find myself bouncing between "The Americans" and reruns of HGTV an The Big Bang Theory. I think I will pick it up on my On Demand.

I downloaded the Pilot of Fargo from iTunes and watched. Dark comedy. Quirky. Bloody (like Justified). Good cast.
I'll be back for episode 2!!

I watched the first episode because my husband wanted to. I was not really interested in a rehash of the Fargo thing, but I thought it was well-done and I'm sure I'll be back next week for more!

I really liked the pilot. Looking forward to watching tonight. Billy Bob Thorton was perfect in the role of the mysterious, violent interloper. It's not Justified, but it will keep me interested. Luckily there are quite a few shows I'm watching right now, so that will distract me from missing Raylan.

I tuned into Fargo and will probably watch again. What else are you watching, kmmo? With both Justified and The Walking Dead off the air, I'm feeling a bit bereft. We watch Blacklist, and I'm enjoying Turn, the Revolutionary War series on AMC, but nothing has really grabbed me. I wish I could get into The Americans, but I can't. Tried last season, and again this season. I've heard Margo is wonderful, but I can't get past the time-period.

I watched the first ep. on On Demand today and saw the second tonight. Very good. I think the fact that the Coens are involved is keeping it true to the original concept which so many of us found fascinating. I am a sucker for good photography. Love those desolate landscapes; what great atmosphere. Also, as with anything, I watch for the characters. These characters are great. Okay, I'm hooked.
wkw, I'm interested in what others are watching, too. I'm a bit at sea without Justified. I watch Castle, The Americans, The Good Wife, The Walking Dead and Mad Men, now that it's back on. I've also been known to watch old reruns of the classics, the Law and Order franchise especially. If I want humor, I turn to The Big Bang Theory. There's nothing like a bunch of loveable, nerdy scientists.
I am also fortunate to receive catalogs from a remaindered bookseller where I can also get dvds at low prices. I always have a few of those to watch of I get bored.

I also watch The Good Wife and the last season of Mad Men. Just finished with Parenthood, and I think Suits is done for the season. Watch Nashville only because I'm loyal to FNLs Connie Britton (but this 2nd season has sucked). Can't wait until Longmire is back on the air. WestTexas, are you around? I know you'll be up for another season of Longmire!!

I also watch The Americans, Mad Men, Castle, The Blacklist (way behind on this one), Monday- we love Big Bang Theory. It's the only "comedy" I watch. My house is all nerdy men, so it's a family thing. We sometimes watch Banshee- it's wild. We've only seen the first 3 episodes. I want to check out Turn - it looks interesting. And Longmire. We've been sort of binge-watching our way through Burn Notice. I never watched it when it was on originally. It sounds like I watch a lot of TV, but I usually only watch one show a night during the week. I'll watch more on the weekend if we're not busy.

I am enjoying Fargo, it is very true to the style of the original film and Martin Freeman is very good as are the rest of the cast.

Just wondering..what's Fargo even about? The commercials were weird and I couldn't figure out what it was even about. Maybe I didn't get it because I had the commercials muted??

I've seen this general premise of the show. After 2 eps, I would say it's correct: In 2006, a drifter named Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) arrives in Bemidji, Minnesota and influences the population with his malice and violence, including put-upon insurance salesman Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman).

I have to say I find Billy Bob creepy at the best of times, but that hairdo is priceless!

Thanks, Dolphin. That was funny. Boyd's crazy haircut does match his personality.

I did catch that bit from the storyline of the movie, but only because I watched the movie last weekend (I had only seen it once- a long time ago). At first I was confused by the time change. That was so funny though! I thought they did a great job of throwing that in there, and making it part of the new story.
