Not at all, greygirl. It takes a village to keep all of these things posted when the season gets in full swing.

I'm trying to keep an open mind, and I do like the actress, but I'm not looking forward to seeing this new relationship pan out.

But, she may turn out to be the closest he'll ever get to a therapist! So maybe that will be a good thing.

She might point him in the right direction where parenting is concerned.

when the spoiler came out said the love interest was going to be a social worker, (presumeably tied to Loretts?); I thought Good, Raylan needs a social worker.

I agree, mcm. I don't care if she's a long term relationship (probably not) or just the bang du jour. I'm just hoping that she can knock some sense into Raylan as far as his relationship to his new daughter is concerned. We know he has a connection to Loretta. God willing, he can develop a bond with baby Willa too.

Use it with my blessings, wkw!
BTW, I am reading a novel where the leading character's best friend says to him , "Everywhere you go, people get shot and women take off their underwear." (This may not be the exact words; I'd have to go back and check, but you know who I thought of right away!)

2nd episode- Well, I liked it a lot better! More Raylan, back in Kentucky, some Art, some Rachel, some Tim, A bit of Ava, a few more laughs and a few less bodies. Not so dark...And nice to see Loretta, I bet we're not done with her...(and what about Mags' money) I kinda liked the social worker and I was expecting to hate her...I liked that she was not jumping all over him...I thought we might see some bowling! maybe they will actually get to know each other before the other...
I am a little worried about Art's questions, where it will lead...no where good. And it looks like Mooney may be another big bad guy here and Boyd may be headed for a heap of trouble. Paxton- wise and drug heist-wise.
And check out the getty image photos online from today's event... Anxious to read your thoughts.

Loved the Raylan and Loretta scenes. The scenes with Alison, not so much. Odd thing, when I saw Amy Smart on Latifah's show, I thought...gosh, I want to hate her, but I don't. And I still don't hate her, but I didn't think their scenes together had any spark. And there was something up with her makeup. She's much prettier in real life. Not sure what I think about Raylan's answers to her questions about Willa and Winona. He was definitely blowing his daughter off, and that's unsettling. But, it's where he is right now. At least he's acknowledging that he HAS a daughter, but still, not crazy about that side of Raylan.
Art is onto something. Like a dog digging for a bone, he's going to keep digging until he finds what he wants. Only I don't think he's going to like what he finds.
So...who stole Boyd's drug shipment. Is Duffy double crossing him? Is it the sheriff? Is it the Crowes? (How would they know??) Lots of questions, and poor Ava is getting impatient.

Well wasn't the girl talking to the dealer in the street Johnny's "friend" from last saeson, I'll just bet it's Johnny doing the double crossing again.

I expected sparks, but I didn't get the sense of any chemistry there. And I noticed that she didn't look as pretty as I've seen her before. Maybe we'll see the sparks in the next episode. Yeah, I spotted Terri- Johnny's girl from last season asking about the drugs.. I wondered what she was doing there, and I didn't even connect it to the ambush on the drug shipment. Is Johnny big and mean enough to pull that off?

Loved this episode. I'm getting a good vibe with Raylan and the new chick. Raylan seems to want to at least try for a stable relationship, one that is more than hot sex. We'll see how that plays out.
It's obvious Art does not trust Raylan. And I think his distrust stems from the Winona/stolen money situation. I've always thought that Art figured Raylan and Winona had something to do with the missing money, and I think he was disappointed that Raylan didn't tell him the truth.
Something tells me this current situation is going to be the straw that breaks the camels back with Raylan and Art.

I'm wondering if Boyd is going to cheat on Ava this season. He's on a whole other level of crazy and desperate right now, so anything seems possible.

Something tells me this current situation is going to be the straw that breaks the camels back with Raylan and Art. From what Yost and the other writers have said, I think that Allison is a female in the Elmore Leonard template, and therefore all is not as it seems. Add to that, she's Raylan's type...and we all know how that has worked out in the past. I like the actress though, and I wish we could've had a scene with her and Loretta. To quote TO from the TCA's "Raylan doesn't have a f*cking clue." Art made it very clear to Raylan (without coming out and saying it) that he knew about the money. Raylan knew Art knew, and told Winona as much. And yet, Art never seemed to harbor any ill will toward Winona. I wish fans were as generous. It seems everyone on the show gets forgiven their mistakes except for her. I am very afraid for Art this season, though, and not just his relationship with Raylan.

I liked this episode soooo much better than the premiere (except, of course, I loved the Dewey Crowe courtroom scene and the Marco Polo/whorehouse pool scenes). They're back in Kentucky where they belong. Any time Loretta and Raylan have scenes together, we know it's going to be good. What I want to know is: What happened to all the money Maggs left for Loretta? I think Raylan's new love interest is going to be bad news, his usual pattern. In the previews, she's rolling a J in front of our favorite US Marshal. And I, too, am worried about Art with the Sammy Tonin information. Boyd is in deep doo-doo.

I liked this ep. The first was so violent that I found it a bit off-putting, but now I can see how it set up the season. We have several characters who are in deep doo-doo. I am so fearful for Loretta. She is on a very bad path and I don't really see her changing. I am sympathetic to the trauma that she has suffered in her young life, but dealing drugs is a dead end in more ways than one. Raylan tried a bit of tough love with her, but I don't really think it made a dent in the long run. She has a social worker. Big deal. Loretta needs to be having her head shrunk five days a week. I think we all love the character and hope for the best, but I don't see a happy ending here unless Loretta has a "come to Jesus" moment and decides to go straight.
Boyd is in a terrible position. He has distributors who want their drugs and he has no way left to provide it for them.He has committed a terrible murder and must now pay to keep the widow quiet. Where is he going to get the money? And Ava is counting on him to get her out of jail. He is desperate and I don't see a way for him to come out of this. He is going to become more and more ruthless and dangerous.
Dewey. Ah, Dewey. He thought he had the world on a string. The court judgement made it possible for him to buy Audrey's and have a chance at an actual money making job. Of course, if anyone can turn gold into shit, it's Dewy. But the poor schmuck now has to deal with his criminal cousin. There won't be a happy ending here either.
I think Rodney "HotRod" Dunham may be ready to bite the dust.
Raylan/Winona: You all know my feelings about Winona vis a vis season 3. I felt that she was a self-serving person, and I still feel that way about her past actions. But she has matured while Raylan has not. I'll give Raylan a little bit of a pass because he has never experienced what a good father should be like and he doesn't have a uterus. But his failure to visit that sweet, beautiful baby while he was in Florida is inexcusable. I know he's scared and confused about fatherhood, but that's no excuse. Probably 90% of men feel that way under the best of circumstances. But Winona now seems like the mature parent and Raylan seems like the deadbeat dad. How disappointing. He was happy enough to take part in the baby's conception; now he needs to step up to the plate.
