That plot sounds familiar. Wasn't there a show on USA a few years back that was the same thing? Natalie is great at comedy...and so is TO. You KNOW he would guest if she asked him. I would imagine that FX has her under some kind of understanding that she'll be available for a certain number of episodes. I'm also betting that this show, unlike The Following, will film in LA so it wouldn't be that hard for her to do both.

That's great for Natalie! Yeah, I think she's great at comedy. But I still want to see her on Justified. Hopefully this new show will work out for her.

Does all this mean she was killed off The Following? And a new show would likely be a mid-season replacement so maybe she is on early in season 5...with the baby...after all we now know HE was in Miami....so thinking we get to meet that baby early in season 5....

I just watched Natalie Zea's Pilot on Amazon, called The Rebels. It's about an LA football team called The Rebels.
The Rebels: Julie (Zea) is in over her head when her husband suddenly dies, leaving her the owner of a pro football team.
Amazon Pilots are free to those who are Amazon Prime members. I'm not sure how much to see it if you're not a member. (Probably not very much per episode.) You vote on the pilots and that will determine which ones will continue to be made.
Did anyone else see it? I'd give it a B, but I'd definitely like to see more.

There was another pilot on Amazon that I wanted to see with Titus Welliver from Deadwood as Harry Bosch, the detective from the Michael Connolly books, which I have been working my way through. Unfortunately Amazon UK don't have that facility. I had joined the Amazon Prime trial just for that and was sorely disappointed. What did you think of The Rebels Dolphin?

I watched The Rebels also, and the Harry Bosch one, which I really liked. It's not quite as dark as the books. I liked Natalie's pilot, and it's got quite a few good reviews. Not sure how Amazon chooses or how many they choose though.

I thought Natalie looked wonderful, but I didn't much care for the set-up...they made her somewhat of a idiot, I thought, and the football players a bunch of stereotypical bad boys. they crammed a lot into the pilot, so maybe it could get better. but really, a monkey on cocaine with a gun...? I don't know if I'd watch any more of this. And too much cursing, sick of the f word as dialog. I watched the one called "the After" and it held my interest, but I doubt I'd watch more...from the creator of x files, i think. I will try the one with Welliver, as I have always liked that actor. Amazon wants opinions on their website, to pick which pilots will go on for more episodes.

Not sure if this is the Amazon poll results or just IMDB's own. Based on this, prospects don't look good for The Rebels. www.imdb.com/poll/j2kFJ9_is1w/results?ref_=po_srIn case the link doesn't work the votes are 627 - The After 430 - Bosch 90 - Mozart in the Jungle 72 - The Rebels 67 - Transparent

I also watched The After (Chris Carter/X Files created and directed that one). I don't like end of the world stories, but this one was good. Do they only pick one pilot to expand?

I need to check this out. We have Amazon Prime but I've never used it. My husband uses it. I really want to see the pilot about Harry Bosch. I'm a big fan of Michael Connelly's Bosch series. And Titus Welliver would be great in that role.
I hope Natalie's pilot does well.

I wish I could see Bosch, I love the books and Welliver looks ideal for the character.

I just saw Bosch. At first, it played like a Justified kind of a LEO. But it totally sucked me in.
It's the best of the pilots I've seen, thus far. Excellent cast.
