This list is pretty cool. Literally 1,990 things from the 1990's. How many TO related things can you find? Are there other things on the list that make you nostalgic (already)? Things From The 90's

Ah, MC Hammer's "Gypsy Homo Pants", (as a late friend of mine from college coined them)......timeless!
Some of those things I am completely clueless about- never having my own children, I am completely unaware of that genre of pop culture.
Why is Bob Ross the Joy of Painting guy on there? That's not funny, what a talented guy he was. I used to love to put on the Joy of Painting marathon during the PBS Sunday fund drive and doze listening to comments about happy little trees and the color "burnt umber." Plus, he had the best fro ever on a white guy, ever!

(I didn't take the list as bad ... because even though they said it was, most of the entries are ... classics.)

That is quite a list! My kids were born in the early 90's, so I mostly recognize their favorite tv shows and movies. I don't think I listened to much adult-oriented music for 5 years or so. I do remember when MTV used to show music videos. That started in the 80's and everyone my age was so excited about it. Now MTV just shows bullshit reality programs. I remember sitting on the couch with my two year old, watching Blues Clues- because I had a thing for Steve. There were some good movies during that time, but not too many good tv shows (not like it is now) or in my opinion, not much good music.

Kmmo, my daughter grew up in the 90's. I remember so many of the cartoons: Duck Tails, Darkwing Duck, The Mighty Ducks .... just to name a few.
It's funny. I sent her the list. She said she was surprised by how many she remembered, but also by how many she did not know. I, on the other hand, knew what 99 percent of them were. As a parent, I think I was 'uber- aware' of the culture ... tv, music, movies.

My kids loved Darkwing Duck and Dexter's Laboratory. I used to watch Dexter's Lab with them. And they loved Pokemon.

My boys were teenagers in the 90's. If you have any contact at all with teenagers, or were ever one yourself (LOL) you know how teens are plugged into pop culture. I saw so many things that I remembered. I remember when MTV was the rage, although we were more into VH1. My kids were crazy about Ren and Stimpy and my husband and I loved the original Bill Maher show. This will tell you something about our senses of humor--- dark, sardonic, and kind of on the edge of strange.
I thought the list was really cool. It took me about a half an hour to get through it all, but it sure brought back memories.

OMGosh you guys. I remember them all. Collecting Pokeman cards. Beanie Babies. My Little Ponies. Polly Pockets. Sonic the Hedgehog. Monday, we watched VH1, too. And I loved Bill Mahr's show (on ABC?). I share your sense of humor.

Some really lame entertainment for hubby and myself in the 90's- staying up late after the kids went to bed, drinking, and making fun of MTV videos. We were so wild and crazy.
