It's a fantasy list/wish list of male actors that you can choose to play Christian Grey.. He's the main subject character of the book 50 shades of grey...Dunno how old this is, but it is like three pages long....TO actually is listed as number 40 in the order of listed names...And you can vote thumbs up or thumbs down... Considering the main character of the book is supposed to be a 27 y/o billionaire playboy, I thought it nice that TO even made the list...lol.....Can you picture TO being a dungeon master or BDSM dominant? Spanking some trusting impressionable young girl? ?.....One of the qualifying attributes to play the character is a steely glare.....Yep, TO's got that down pat..... Lol..Here's the link enjoy n maybe even vote...Dunno if they are currently trying to cast this movie adaption or not.....Just thought it was sharable....And nice to see Timothy being thought of for roles outside of Stetson wearing sheriffs.. www.ranker.com/list/christian-grey-fantasy-casting/kate-kavanaghMy mind has run away with thoughts of Timothy.....Dangerous territory ladies, dangerous territory......lol......

Lord no. That book reeked. Couldn't get past the bad grammar and lousy writing to see if there was actually a plot. If I read a hundred pages, it was a hundred pages too many.

Lol..Wks99, I didn't bother to read the book, been studying for classes I'm taking, Prolly wouldn't bother to see the movie either no matter who's in it....I was just happy to see Timothy thought of for a role like that, even if just by his fanbase, that is maybe outside his norm "typecast".....While I find it hard to believe that he couldn't pull it off, to me it just didn't seem a role I thought anyone would want him to do/consider....Everyone likes him in good guy, albeit tormentedly so, lawman roles....Hat not withstanding... Yet I rather liked Go, Scream, and Beyond Suspicion.....I'd like to see him play something he can sink his teeth into, so to speak.....lol......I think it's fantastic he's getting more n more recognizable....Yet I worry about the fame freefall for him.....But he does need a career direction, dare I say it?, AFTER Justified.....Nice to see his name mentioned for choices like that...

I agree...that's one reason I'm really excited about This is Where I Leave You. His role is small, but it's VERY different than Raylan and it just might get him some notice.

Didn't read the book, won't see the movie. But, damn! There are some fine looking men out there!
As to wkw's comment, I am excited to see "This is Where I Leave You," as well. Many moons ago we were asked by mcm, I think, to think of possible plot ideas for a TO movie. I have always thought that it was really important for Timothy to get out of the "law enforcement" roles for a change. We loved him as Seth Bullock, the sheriff in "The Crazies," and of course as Raylan. Now we have "Bone Tomahawk" coming. So a change in character is desperately called for, and I for one am happy to see it.
We all know that Timothy can play other types of roles, both drama and comedy. To me, "Justified" will always be his signature role, but who knows what the future holds? I don't see him doing Shakespeare, but who gives a damn? There are plenty of opportunities if he gets offers.

While I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him in some sex scenes, I just don't see TO in the Christian Grey role. I haven't read the books (not my kind of reading), but I think a younger guy would get this role, and can't imagine that TO would fit that bill.
Mondayschild, I think you're right. He needs to stretch out into other roles. We love seeing him as the lawman, the protector. But I'm sure he can do so much more.

Fifty Shades was absolute crap. I think I read about thirty pages, decided it was excellent fodder to be made fun of, and skimmed the rest. What a pile. And as much as I'd love to see Mr O in ANY bedroom setting, he's all wrong for the part. First of all, he chooses GOOD roles. And secondly, he's much too old. In the book Christian was like a 25 year old billionaire. So that gives you a sense of how realistic the books was....

I don't see him doing Shakespeare, but who gives a damn? There are plenty of opportunities if he gets offers. I think he'd be terrific in any Shakespeare production! If he can rock Deadwood, he would rock Shakespeare. Joss Wheadon has a version of "Much Ado About Nothing" hitting select theaters in June and I'm really excited. I think he would be excellent in a comedy.

I voted against him playing Christian Grey....this is an awful book and much as I would love to see sexy Tim NOT in that film!

As fine as he is, Tim is too old to play that role. And at this point in his career, he does not need to act in a soft porn movie.

I'm with mondayschild. Would like to see him in Shakespeare! How can we arrange that? ;D
