Thanks Dolphin. Good read. I like that he appreciates where he is and loves being on Justified. It sounds like Venus Van Damme will make another appearance on SOA. Love it!

I love Walton's gracious attitude. Can't wait to see more Boyd and Venus. Walton is one of the best character actors on television.

Yes, I didn't get a chance to say thanks, Dolphin. I could listen to Walton Goggins talk for hours. He's such a interesting person with such a great outlook. I actually wish Walton would show up on Charlie Rose instead of Tim. Tim just isn't as forthcoming about things as Walt.

You're all welcome. It take a village to keep up with this bunch. MCM, it's true TO doesn't interview as well as Walton. TO has trouble focusing, staying on point. It's different doing a stint on a late night talk show where you might have some prepared material than Charlies Rose. Charlie gets deep and is totally in control. Walton would go along for the ride and do well. My other TV boyfriend, Kyle Chandler, doesn't interview well, either. He'll do it when he absolutely has to for press tours, but it's not his strong suit ... and he knows it. I think TO interviews way better than Kyle. On FNLs, Coach Taylor often said to and about the Press, "I don't like the Press, never have." LOL That's Kyle talking. He's just not comfortable. At least TO is funny ... but yeah, funny wouldn't do on Charlie Rose. Remember on the panel interview TO did with Graham Yost and Elmore Leonard? He kind of cruised in the background and let Graham take the lead. He did okay in that format ... but looked nervous (drank a lot of water) and didn't get into it until about half way through the show. I'm just observing and not being critical of TO or Kyle. Sheesh. I couldn't do what they do. I'd be beet red in the face and then, faint! LOL

Thanks Dolphin, Walton does give a good interview, he is much more open than Tim. I think Tim is always on his guard about giving away anything personal, as you say in the "talk show" situation what is going to be discussed is planned beforehand. Other than that he tends to "wander" off topic.

Too highbrow for me, have seen Tender Mercies and Robert Duvall is great in it but then he is usually great in everything.

You are on it with the Walton finds, Dolphin. I have not seen any of those movies, but I might check the one out with Jack, he's always good.

HI-
Nothing highbrow about Breaking Away and it's got a great cast, including Dennis Quaid and Daniel Stern, very entertaining. I loved Tender Mercies, one of Robert Duvall's best characters. A wonderful film.
I remember seeing "The Passenger" back in the 70s when I watched everything that Jack Nicholson was in...can't remember too much about this one, even after watching the film clip. He was in a lot of movies in the 70s, "The Last Detail" comes to mind... I have never seen or heard of Bottle Rocket, but I think Owen Wilson can be very good...may try to see this one. Wes Anderson has become a popular filmmaker, right?
The first one...Revenge/Revanche looks quite intense, don't know If I'll look for this one. Anyway, it's fun to see what a fine actor like Walton considers to be the best films. So many out there, it must have been hard to pin down just 5. Should we have a thread where we name our top five? just as a time passing exercise? It could be 5 best comedies, best dramas, best foreign? 5 best performances in the movies or 5 best on TV...?? could have many categories...anyone?

dolphin, Breaking Away is worth checking out. It's a very good movie. It might be a little dated at this point, but I remember really enjoying it when I saw it. Tender Mercies is excellent. One of Robert Duvall's best.
