Tim will guest-voice on FX's animated series, Archer, airing Jan. 24. "...Olyphant's one-episode guest role in the episode airing on January 24th 2013 is just as epic. Olyphant is close friend of Sterling's-- another agent who is presumed dead after being accused of stealing company funds and killing colleagues. He, too, has a big secret-- that only Sterling seems to be in the dark on."Source: www.examiner.com/article/timothy-olyphant-ron-leibman-guest-voice-archer-season-four

Wow. Archer is pretty vulgar. Funny at times, but vulgar. Sort of surprised that he'd sign on for it. I'll be interested in what TO does with this guest.

TO is certainly making the rounds of FX shows. I imagine FX is pleased to have him sprinkle a little of his movie star dust on their other series. Is Louie next?
I've never seen Archer, but I know I'll buy this off iTunes because, well, yeah.
Thanks for the heads up, harlancounty.
Doesn't Jessica Walters voice a character on that show?

OK, saw TOs voice over episode. UGH! I'll try to erase this from my memory. Tim must be trying too outdo Walton on the 'opposite of what I usually do' scale. Spoiler alert....
Plot involves tim's spy character who has an unrequited homosexual crush on archer. Among other thing he tells of the time he drugged archer, oiled and sodomized him. It has tasteless stereotypes - he wants to open a B&B in Vermont, and IMHO was not clever or funny. Tim WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?

Guys love this show. My theater, classical music and art-loving husband adores it. My also fairly classy son enjoys it. So do many of their friends. I don't care for it but I did like Tim's part in it. Thought he brought a little zip to it.
Jessica Walters is the gray-haired lady who is Archer's mom. The One who runs ISIS.

What little of Archer that I've seen strikes me as a bit smarmy. I'm surprised that Timothy did this. I guess if you are a member of the FX family, you get these offers sometimes. But if it were me, I would have passed.

Me and my brothers were having an Archer marathon on Christmas eve night thanks to netflix. I think the show is hilarious. My mom actually made it through and episode and chuckled a few times before she made us (her grown children) turn it off.
This episode wasn't the best but still really funny, and also written by Justified writer Chris Provenzano.

I suppose I've become shock proof. This wasn't any worse than an episode of Saturday Night Live + some language.

I'm a librarian who has children and friends in "the arts". I also help run a film festival in our town. I have always been pretty shock-proof. I joke that I went to a Methodist college and learned to swear from the sons and daughters of Methodist ministers, but it's the truth! I think Tim probably got a kick out of doing this.

It made me laugh. Lots of good zingers and one liners in there. Crude, like I said.

I kind of thought the same thing but it was cool to hear Tim's over emphasized surfer "Dude!...." a few times. I did laugh at it but it was like *moan* another fag joke, etc.... At least we know that character met his fate and Tim won't do it again. BTW, speaking of voice overs...Was the video game the fight club guy was playing in 4.04 "Call of Duty MW3" , The one that Tim voiced?
