Magic! Thank you LJ that was totally unexpected. This little snippet shows that Tim is intelligent as well as funny.

That was funny when Graham Yost said they didn't have the rights to Pronto and Riding the Rapids. Surprise. I've heard nada from Amazon ... even though I've followed up and they 'promised' to get back to me.

LJ that's so great! thanks so much. Seeing these three together is a treat. Three great minds in one room.
Now I really know how skinny Tim's waist must be; seeing him next to Elmore. When I met Elmore I remember I felt like Shrek next to him. He's a little person, and Tim's waist looks about the same size as Elmore and that, my friends, is small.

Loved that LJ - thanks. TO's shoulders look SO broad in that clip. Good Grief! I'm so damn smitten.

Yes MCM, tiny waist. he couldn't pinch a millimeter. Makes me wonder, since he has normal length legs (i.e. not stubby Burt Reynolds legs), and his waist is so small, what size jeans is he buying that he always has to roll them up? He must be shopping in some Tim Buton / Nightmare Before Christmas character jeans store.
BTW, you on the other hand, look like you've been working out :-)

LJ, That's funny! I have to cartoon myself to see myself with a waist; either that or a fun house mirror. I had fun at Jib Jab over Halloween. I will put myself up at the disco queen next.
It's hard to believe TO is only 1.83 meters. ( 6 feet to you English unit clingers). His body is so long; you would think that his legs would look shorter, especially with those low slung jeans but they definitely do not. I'd love to ask him what size jeans he wears. My guess is a 30/36. Man, that is skinny!
I found a pair of 28/31 jeans in a box from like, 1985-ish When I was in diabetic acidosis for crying out loud, and they looked like they belonged to a doll to me now. Now I have so many X's on my clothes I don't know if I'm buying porn or a blouse! Ah ha ha ha ha ha. Next stop, Barnum and Bailey!
Would somebody pleeeeaaase take this Halloween candy away from me now!

I, too, have had some jib jab fun. I started a couple of years ago by elfing my family then we got kind of carried away and jib jibabbed ourself into everything. If some enterprising person had some time I bet we could get 'ol Raylan doing some pretty funny stuff.

Finally had a chance to watch. TO does look good, but as to his jeans, well, as someone with long legs, I can promise you that finding the perfect length is nearly impossible. They are always too long or too short. And, since the rolled up look is good right now, why not just go with it? Glad most of the clip was Tim talking. LOL. I'd rather listen to him than the other two. Yost is great, but he's not as cute, and Elmore, I'd rather just read, because when he gives interviews I find him kind of arrogant and a little sexist. Speaking of Elmore, he gave one of those one page interviews to Vanity Fair. Evidently he's receiving the National Book Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award. www.vanityfair.com/culture/2012/12/elmore-leonard-proust-questionnaire?mbid=social_retweetSo, if I ever meet Elmore, I'll be sure not to tell him about my dog. Damn. I like talking about my dog. I bet he's a cat guy. I can always tell.

I just got to watch the DVD as well. I saw it all but the last 10 minutes when the phone rang. I actually really enjoy listening to Graham Yost, Wkw.
As for Elmore, he repeated nearly every line in the lecture I saw with him; only much more since he and his son talked for an hour and a half up here.
Same story about the newspaper pic of the lady marshal brandishing the stock of a gun on her hip; same story that he was writing more Raylan, etc... (Only his publisher didn't want him to write more Raylan because then it's tied up with FOX and somehow.)
Much more "Elmore" stories, obviously, ( a great one about "Clooney in my kitchen") I enjoyed both of these.
We all love "our" Raylan; embodied by Tim and structured by Graham. Our Raylan is not exactly like Elmore's Raylan, he's better. He's richer and more fleshed out ( oh! that Olyphant flesh!)
I think that about sums up why "we" sometimes have a hard time appreciating Elmore's source work completely.
I like the narrator on this interview but I did not feel her level of excitement for Raylan the literary work, that's all.
