So do we have a clean shaven Raylan this year? Not sure how I feel about that.

God, I love close-shaven Tim. Where he's soooooo smooth he looks sculpted from butter... That's the stuff of fantasy right there. Freaking baby faced Adonis. Exhibit A: And b, cause it gives me an excuse to look at this picture more: I also have a thing for his facial hair, too. I like his Bullock 'stache and soul patch and when he's fully bearded like some kinda wild mountain man, too. Raylan is a little too gruff to be without facial hair, though, dontcha think?

I sooo want to make an inappropriate comment about his face and this certain verb I demand of my dogs constantly, but I'll refrain.
Truth be told I'm not sure which look to settle on.....
(Snickering....Terrible woman...just terrible...sorry for the preposition...the joke doesn't work w/o it)
He had the beginnings of a van Dyke last night on the Conan show, didn't he girls? I think too short, though. He's got to let the whiskers grow a bit so they can color them.
Did you all notice the nice color job on the gray sides, leaving just a little showing? It's lighter than the rest of his hair though, the damned gray is always lighter than you expect.
I want caps like that, BTW.

Here is Joelle in all her Ava in shitkicking boots glory. Dom doesn't do these anymore unfortunately so it's very slow and not as many pics as last year. Seems he got a promotion.

mcm, I am with you. At my age, I have gray in the exact same place as Tim. Ninety-five percent of my hair is blond/light brown. I am not ready to go au natural just yet, so I do what I can to cover the small amount of gray. I think that Tim should do the same. The gray around the face makes him look like a candidate for the Addams family. Color it until you can't is my motto. I thought he looked great.
Gray can come at any age. My husband went "salt and pepper " at 29. But it looked good on him. I started getting the gray around the face in my fifties. I am going to fight it until I can't. So should Tim.

mondayschild: I'm like your husband. I'm in my forties now and I wish I could be just a little white here and there (like my husband! the lucky bastard!) but my hair is like 80% white, so I keep dyeing it which I hate too. Past a certain age a solid color looks weird and unnatural. And I think I am reaching this point. I don't know what to do about it. I always wanted to age gracefully. It's harder than I thought...

TO was looking decidedly more Raylanish at the Alex's Lemonade thing on 9/29. Perhaps the Conan ep. Was taped earlier Attachments:

Geeze, I feel like a comedian who's material has lost it's oomph. LOL I guess I'm predictable. Good catch LJ on the facial hair progress, LJ. Thank-you okeydokey for the Joelle pic. I'm like Cristina. My naturally dark hair is now like the late Bea Aurthur under the color. Its "Moses saw the burning bush " white. It started in my late 20s but living with musicians is what did it. LOL. The trick is having it professionally colored. The gray never takes the color as well as the rest of the naturally colored hair because an entire pigment layer is missing and it had a different texture. That's why gray is so wiry.

I'd like to "settle on" a look also, lol. I like him somewhere between (I know what you THINK I'm gonna say, mcm, lol) clean-shaven and the Raylan-like pic in LJ's post above. Just slightly stubbly and not too grey. Perfect. Clean-shaven is nice for other roles. If he EVER decides to do another role, for God's sake!

You guys are far too picky, as I have said before....(I would settle on him) any way, any place, any how.

I think Conan (I hate to keep referring to it but...) he had the Raylan look including the facial hair...and I do love that look...I just think we are done with the shorter gel laden hair...it was stuck to his head last season and we missed bedhead...which may mean MORE BEDHEAD in season 4. Can anyone think of a complaint? I sure thought he looks good in the promo and in person...that man is just so...."fill in the blank with what he does to your heart"

Aw, he looks so adorable(but when doesn't he look adorable?). I'm not really sure how I feel about a clean shaven Raylan either, though..

Thanks for the promo shots, ladies. They all look pretty intense! As for smooth shaven Tim, or hairy Tim, I come down somewhere in the middle. I like the "I forgot to shave yesterday" look, but there are times when he just looks a tiny bit mangy. But like, weegie, I'd take him any way at all.
I thought Walt and Jacob looked awesome. Anyone else?

Thank you Harlan!! Always good to see something new. But yeah, where is Rachael? After losing such good females actors as Aunt Helen and Mags and then, getting a limited-use Winona, FX shouldn't tease us.

Some of you mentioned dealing with gray hair. Christina and mcm, your hair looks very natural. But I have two friends---my age--- who were blessed with medium brown hair in their youth. When the gray set in, they went to coloring it black. It was jarring to me, because I remembered them with brown hair. It just didn't look natural to me. I don't know what your hair was like before, so you both look natural to me, but I think the key is to keep dyed hair as close to your natural hair as possible.I have always had several different colors in my hair and my hairdresser frosts my hair with color to keep it looking like it would naturally. Thing is, she has to go heavy in the area around my face where I now have gray. I am not totally pleased with the result, but it beats gray. I would like to try some other options. Unless hell freezes over, I am not likely to have a lot of gray any time soon. My mom was pure white at my age, but my dad, whose hair I seem to have, was not gray at all. He died one year younger than I am now, so I have no idea what I am looking at as far as graying is concerned. I have two grandfathers who went totally white, and two grandmothers who eventually went salt and pepper. Ain't life grand?I guess we just have to roll with the punches.
The thing that gets me though, is that men can go gray and we think they look awesome. But when we go gray we just look old. Doesn't seem fair.

I can't believe that the writers would disregard her. She is the epitome of a good marshal, too. I think we need her as an example. We know a little about her, but I would like to see more. We kn ow that she has family that she cares about-her mother and ne'er do well brother, but has she ever had a love affair? She seems too dedicated to let love into her life, which is sad. Did her sister's experience turn her off to men? I would like to see her fall head over heels for a great man.

[...] The thing that gets me though, is that men can go gray and we think they look awesome. But when we go gray we just look old. Doesn't seem fair. At the age of 30 I was totally convinced that I wouldn't mind going gray at 40. Ya suuure. Yesterday I saw a lady while I was shopping and I think she must have been around 60 and her hair was white -- no hint of color -- just stark white. I didn't like it, but I think the color I have now would probably look weird too at that age. I don't know. Are there any other options?? Sometimes I think I should go back to coloring it blue or green like in the early 80s when I was a punk! I'm getting the feeling that the majority of men about my age or a little younger don't like their gray hair. But of course it is still much more accepted than in women.
