*Begin rant* I simply cannot fathom why people have to be so mean and nasty over on the FX forum, especially about NZ. Ugh. It's pitiful. You know, now would be an absolutely horrid time to be any kind of famous. You'd better either have a thick skin or just stay off the internet to avoid reading that kind of crap. Sometimes I think technology will ultimately be the downfall of our society. We can say anything we want anonymously and so we have descended to the lowest common denominator. Whatever happened to "If you can't say something nice...." *End rant* Thank you for reading. You may now return to your regularly scheduled drooling over my avatar.

I totally agree. You know I used to think they were just trolls, whose only intent was to get us pissed off but after going to some other sites I see that they're for real. They've worked up a real hatred for Winona and Natalie. I can't for the life of me see how a TV character could get someone so enraged. I was shocked.
It really must be scary to be famous in these times. Creepy, for sure.
My husband would agree with you that computers will be the world's ruination. I try to point out the positive things it allows us, but even I'll admit, you may be right.
People also seem to have lost the ability to have a civil disagreement. I used to enjoy a little back and forth debating about Winona sometimes but now I feel like if I say something negative it only invites the wrong attention. I don't want to be the spark that starts that fire up again, so I stay quiet.
It's so funny because back in the beginning of season 1 when I used to visit the board at FX I used to pray that more people would come there. I think there were literally 5 of us, if that many. Ha, be careful what you wish for, right?
I think they've gotten better at moderating that board although I haven't been there yet today, so I'm not really sure what got you going in this vein. Hope it wasn't too bad.
Thank God for civilized people like all of you!
OK, back to drooling over avatars!

I agree that the ability of the average (and not so average) person to write whatever is in their head anonymously and without fear of retribution will be the end of civilized society as we know it.
It's a TV character, folks. Get over it. Write some fan fiction about Raylan and the girl of your choice and get it off your hairless chests. I haven't really been back to the FX board since this one started and I think I'll wait a bit before souring my otherwise good mood.

I really don't understand what it is about NZ or the character that has these people so fired up. No one on this show is perfect. Are they still pissed that Raylan dumped Ava? He never loved Ava and it's been obvious since the pilot that for good or bad, and I can see it both ways, Winona is the love of his life (at this point).
As to NZ...she isn't going to win the Academy Award, but she's a good enough actress for what she's given. I thought the money story gave her an opportunity to show a bit more chops than S1, and she did, IMO. I think it says a lot that Yost and TO like working with her.

I have my problems with Winona, as you all know. But attacking the actress is a completely different thing. Winona is a character. Natalie is a real person. I replied to a post on the FX Justified thread about this. We can agree to disagree on the character; Natalie as a person is a different thing. None of us know her personally, so we really can't speculate on her actions. Let's keep the two things separate.

They are incapable of keeping this separate. They are f-ing psycho, stupid, over-emotional dingbats is my observation. You can't make them play nice. They are fevered with hate. I never even acknowledge them. One acknowledgment is one too many. Now they are all over the IMDB pro boards calling Mrs. O names again.
That guy with the user name dman2 aught to be called d-bag 2!
Too bad because the article he posted was kinda on point about most actor's being submitted. ( The Dothracki king from Game of Thrones, who only grunts dialog, come on! - nice to look at in a Hunn kind of way , though)
Whoever the critic / author was just didn't like NZ's work this season. I'm sure the critic wasn't throwing personal attacks.

You know, these are the types of people that also thing professional wrestling is real. I really feel sorry for them that the line between reality and fantasy is so blurred.

Can't understand why folks wish he were still with Ava. I think Ava's sort of proven that she'll gravitate to the nearest warm bed. A sweet girl, but I was very disappointed LOL when she, after forbidding any illegal activity near or in her home, started twirling her heels to Jesus with Boyd just when he went illegal!!!! DUH...AVA?? Wazzup? At least Winona just gravitates toward her ex-husband.
Raylan.....pssstt...wanna be happy next season? Now that you knocked up the ex get a REAL APARTMENT, Buddy!
Just sayin'...

I love that motel room! There is a little cottage - like kitchenette hotel very similar to that on an inland lake about 1/2 mile from my house. Actually it's the same lake that my subdivision is on. People rent it out for the weekend and go floating around out to the sand bar. The front side of the hotel is on a fairly busy street so you do get the ambiance of the traffic sound.
A naughty confession; I spent my 30th birthday held up in that hotel w/ my version of Sonny Mann ( instead of going to work) oh so looooong ago.
So whenever I see the hotel in Justified, particularily the interior, I just get a big smile on my face with a happy memory.
There was a kitchenette and knotty pine everywhere. I had a cigarette at a little table just like Ava. The TV was up on a swivel on a wall. The bed was flimsy.
I sure never thought I would own a house on the same lake years later. If I go out to the sandbar I can see the back of the hotel. I often wonder how many other people are inaugurating their 30's like I did.
I'll try and walk the dogs down there & take a picture of the outside of the place and post a link. It definitely has the same character.

Yes it was, but.............. Not sure Winona would go along with you on being preggers in that dang little room with the teeny bathroom and "lumpy" bed. I vote for a two-bedroom near the courthouse ASAP! ;D

He was a long, cool drink 'o water, too. I loved 'em but I had to give it up, (eventually) ;-) Not good for me, just like my cigarettes. Oh god, soooo Glad I didn't have to announce I was preganant a few weeks later in that Hotel bathroom! I would have drowned him in the lake. LOL Here's a great tune that goes along with that time...listen for free mp3.rhapsody.com/album/assorted-special-guests/square-business-w-smokin-joe-kubeck

LOL. I think we've all had one like that. Had to give 'em up, but still love to remember 'em.
Mine had a house though. A log cabin with a pond. He taught me to fish. Among other things.

Yes we all have had one like that. In the end, he turned out to be two-faced and I was the one to walk away. Even after he was discovered, he told me that no one walked out on him! (Controlling, too, but I didn't see it until later. He always made it look like things were my idea when really they were his.) I actually went back to him after he treated me like something that you'd scrape off the bottom of your shoe, but as I said, he finally gave himself away. That was it for me.
On the subject of nastiness, my previous post was referring not just to the newest troll, but to the many comments over the last few months. Some of them have been directed at Natalie as a person: she's a terrible actress, she doesn't deserve any awards, she goes braless because she loves her breasts, she's having an affair with Timothy and that's how she has earned so much screen time in season 2. These things are mean spirited and some may even be libelous. While some people can't separate a character from a real person, WE should be allowed to call them out on it.

Unfortunately with the advance of the internet, libel seems to be a thing of the past. I think the way they talk about NZ is shitty, and sometimes I call people out on it, but that can just make it worse. The best thing to do is ignore them, and maybe they go away.
And...just a note...she probably goes braless because she CAN. LOL. Most women I know who can, do. Bras. Ugh.

LOL. I think we've all had one like that. Had to give 'em up, but still love to remember 'em. Mine had a house though. A log cabin with a pond. He taught me to fish. Among other things. Yeah. We each had a house too but a little too crowded.... Log Cabin. Pond = Awesome. Fishing, eh? There's a line in "Coastlines": Ann says to Sonny "You still cast a long line" (it's in the workshop). I didn't get it at first, but now I do. I guess this is in the wrong forum.

With regard to going braless---that would be so wonderful. Finally found a style that doesn't look like two catapults strapped to my body and give me a more feminine line. But no bra is comfortable.

Unfortunately, I am well endowed. My friends in college were envious, but I knew the score. I knew that in middle age, "the great sagging of the breasts" would commence. I would have a breast reduction if I weren't so terrified. And I would get them lifted, too. Women with smaller breasts look better in clothes. As I once said to my husband, "Yeah, I get it. Men like large breasts. but if you had to walk around with testicles the size of cantaloupes, you wouldn't be so happy, either."

I always felt self-conscious about being small until my college boyfriend said "More than a mouthful's a waste." Gotta love the guy.

The haters are back over at FX...that's why there are so many posts with my name. I wanted to push it to page two, but the person must have been there and reposted. What an ass. I reported it, but these folks really piss me off.

I can always tell when something's gone on over there while I wasn't online, lol. You know where all the posts usually are and then all of a sudden there's all these old posts on page one, lol. Not an easy job replying to 16 or 17 posts in a row, is it, lol? THEY are such ASSHOLES. When will they get tired of it?
