I'm glad Jeremy won because I really like his acting. I thought he was great on Lost, too. But to me it is also like saying: well, your guest stars rock, but the rest of the show is only so-so. That's my way of thinking. That's how my brain is wired. And seriously -- in 20 years' time everybody will remember Jeremy Davis's performance and nobody will remember Tim's and the character/icon he helped creating for TV.... suuurre. Idiots.

Sort of my way of thinking, Christina. "Too bad that great Jeremy Davies didn't have a good cast to work with."

I agree that Jeremy Davies deserves an Emmy but his winning, when the rest of the show was ignored, just epitomizes what is so wrong with The Emmys. A performance has to be so over the top for them to even notice at all generally. Subtlety is rarely recognized. Just the way it is and it really makes me nuts when you see a scene played out in a show that you know was purely added to garner Emmy attention. How sad. I would rather the show maintain its' integrity, making the show we (and the critics) love, and the hell with The Emmy voters if they don't get it! I know, it's a business, they need the ratings etc, etc, but I just wish it didn't matter.
