This must be one of the silliest movies I ever saw. To be honest, I only stopped at the Tim scenes, but those were well worth it.
Tim is adorable in it. (I can't help thinking that his natural teeth made him look a bit goofy which wasn't bad at all. Now he has this perfect male model look. I digress...)
Christina Ricci and Tim have good chemistry and are quite funny.
My favorite moments: Lillian kissing Luke on the neck. Lillian and Luke talking about how life is over after 30. Luke's speech about how he hates acting. Especially the line bout handing in fake resumes. (A case of art imitating real life...) Alex (Steven Schub) going nuts on Luke.
I had a blast watching this trashy flick. If you have a thing for trash like I do you should at least check out the Tim-scenes.

I can...uh... adjust that for you ma'am. Yes, Tim, you may. Ugh! Straight outta a fantasy.
And how about that goofy slam dance. Took the wind right out of my sexy unbuttoned work shirt with tanktop underneath sails.

I love the part when her hand goes beneath the sheet and she realises he's not who she thought he was! LOL

The refrigerator scene was goooood! Oops. I forget. You know, I wanted to point out the less obvious scenes, hehe.

I love the part when her hand goes beneath the sheet and she realises he's not who she thought he was! LOL Oh yeah, that's also a really good one. lol I also love Tim's face when he is unable to open his eyes... Or the part where he pads his pillow before he lays his head down and how he gives her that huffy look. Or how he tries to suppress the blinking by holding down his eyelid. lol VERY silly, but then I am silly.

Oh man, what a weird film. I feel like I've seen a lot of these kinds of movies because of specific actors in the past ...
I wouldn't say it's good necessarily, lots of slapstick, many stories intertwining, nothing memorable. But I wasn't bored watching, so it's entertaining enough. I think it's probably one of the best movies to watch for TO though, because he's in it a lot and he's very funny. I cracked up at his line "you don't want me to go?" He has good comic timing. They were a cute couple the two of them, even if not very relatable.
Yes, loved the refrigerator scene!

Speaking of older TO film roles, and not knowing what you may have already watched, I would recommend watching "Go" and "The Girl Next Door"...TO had wonderful roles and dialog in both...even tho I am way beyond the age these were aimed at, still enjoyed watching him. I too thought TO looked wonderful in No Vacancy and I liked the Refrigerator scene too...but I could barely watch the rest. It was a struggle to get to the TO parts... Have a wonderful day!

I've tried to watch Vacancy a few times, but can only get through the first half hour or so. It's too strange. And I usually like strange movies. I do love TO in Go and GND. He's good at playing oddball characters.

I liked Go! and his role a lot. That I would rewatch at some point I think.
I saw GND before I knew who TO was. A friend made me watch it and I remember that I found it too juvenile without any redeeming satirical aspects. I didn't even like those kinds of films when I was in their target age group, and I certainly don't know. I have been thinking about rewatching it just for TO but knowing that I dislike it I've never been in the mood.
What's really funny to me though is that he was the movie director in The First Wives Club. That is one of the movies I always used to watch when it was on, so I've probably seen it 10 times or more. I can partly quote from his scene and I remember the character distinctly as "sleezy slimebag". But I would never have made the connection on my own without seeing it again. Strange ...
I'm probably going to watch Coastlines next, really looking forward to that.
