Here's another little tidbit, this time a short film from 2001.

The Night Visions thing was very cool, Alphamare. I don't know how everyone comes up with all of this stuff, but thanks!
The weird thing is that, for a time, my youngest son wore his hair like Timothy's was in this video. He was growing it out for a friend's Medieval themed wedding. (I'm not joking. I wish I were.) Anyway, the resemblance is uncanny. Looking at Timothy in this video was almost like looking at my son in those days.
I never saw this show before. Creepy. But in addition to Timothy, we get Shirley Knight. She has put on a lot of weight in her later years; she was really beautiful at a young age. She plays character roles now. She was great on an episode of Law and Order. But that's not important. She has always been one of our greatest actresses.
Now I will look at the Doppelganger piece that you have so generously posted. Thanks!

I have heard about this (I think on this site, actually) but never saw it before this. I have NO idea what it is about. Anyone? But again, the hair thing and the resemblance to my son a few years ago is uncanny.
Thanks for filling in the blanks on this one, alphamare. I had always wanted to see this but didn't know where to go.

I hadn't seen the Doppelganger one. Thx Alpha. Monday, my younger son wore his hair like that for a long, long time and I hated it. Couldn't even blame it on being in a themed wedding - haha. He just liked it that way. He reminds me in MANY ways of TO; which I find kind of funny. Thankfully, at the moment anyway, he's wearing his hair short - YAY! I prefer Tim's shorter too. Like he wears it in Justified, just would prefer it without as much of the product.

A CD Walkman. That puts a time stamp on it doesn't it? 02 seems like just yesterday.
Did Anyone recognize Justin Chatwin who plays Jimmy/Steve, Fiona's BF from Shameless?
I didn't recognize him until I thought; hey that kid looks like the guy in Greenday; what a second, that's the guy on Shameless who looks like the guy from Greenday!
Oh BTW, I heard Olyphant say he couldn't sing a note and now I believe. Yikes.

katco, I couldn't agree more. I couldn't wait until that damned wedding was over and my son cut his hair. He is in a profession that requires him to look like a well groomed adult, and just started a job where this is even more important. At his last job, they were more casual, so he had to go out an buy a lot more suitable clothes for the new job.. He only owned two suits and a few dress shirts.
I just can't get into long hair on men. I can't explain it. I've known some really nice men, my son included , of course, who had long hair. But it's not a turn on for me. I've often said that I like Timothy's hair in Damages. It was longer in Catch and Release and A Perfect Getaway; he looked good that way, too. I think in those cases, it really fit the character.
I've said this before, too. On Justified, I just don't care for that slicked back helmet head look. Reminds me of my dad! Timothy is SOOOOOO good looking. I'd love to see a good stylist work on him.
Since my son cut his hair, it is not super short. But he goes to someone who knows what they are doing and it is styled very nicely.

Give me a head with hair, long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen
Give me down to there, hair, shoulder length or longer Here baby, there, momma, everywhere, daddy, daddy

mcm, on a similar note, I know you love Viggo. You have written about him and I left you a PM a few days ago about the fact that I am just not that into him. Her's a very good actor, and good looking in an exotic way, but it's the long stringy hair that I can't get past.
I'm not a superficial person, by nature. I don't let appearances affect my respect for a person, and like I said, he's a wonderful actor... just not the subject of my demented, sexual adoration.
BTW, I don't remember exactly what I wrote in the PM. It was late and probably doesn't make a lot of sense. I should be prevented from posting late at night. Anyway, it was something about A Walk on the Moon. Really did love that movie and am glad you recommended it.
Vive la difference! Isn't it wonderful that there is something or someone out there for everyone?

Yes, I Just saw it. I've been working about 10 hour days 6-7 days a week now. Viggo doesn't have the best hair. It's kinda naturally straight but it was alright by me in A walk on the moon and of course Lord of the Rings.
Tim has much better hair.

I hope you get a break soon. My son took a week off between his last job and the start of his new one. Took his long time girlfriend on a vacation to the Finger Lakes, where he proposed. The little bugger has had the ring for about ten months and was waiting for the most romantic time to do it.(If he hadn't done it, I was going to steal the damned thing and give it to her myself!)
I talked to him tonight, and he seems so much happier. Better job and love life moving forward. The time off really made a difference in his outlook on life and his ability to get some sleep. I highly advise it.
Your situation is probably different, and you have probably dealt with this many times before, but I hope you get some down time in the near future. Everyone deserves a break. What are you working on now?

Thanks for the Night Visions episode, alphamare. I had never seen that before. It's fun to catch TO in his early work. The rapid fire "moral of the story, kids" that Henry Rollins delivers after each tale is a kick!
I actually have a copy of Doppelganger on a DVD of creepshow-themed short films. You can sometimes find it via Amazon marketplace vendors.

Oh BTW, I heard Olyphant say he couldn't sing a note and now I believe. Yikes. TO has so much going for him but he is officially tone deaf. Awww. He could learn. I'm sure. He did hit a note or two. I'm bumping this thread because I just had a blast watching the Night Visions episode. The portable CD player is precious. I think Tim looks very 90ish with that hair cut, although this is from 2002. Without the veneers he looks a bit goofy but in a super cute way. Man, theeth make a huge difference. I think even his pronounciation of the "s" sound has changed slightly. When exactly did he get them? For Deadwood probably... As for THIS "show" -- it's crappy beyond imagination. LOL. Unintentionally funny. The story is moronic, no directing to speak of, although there are some notable actors in it. As mondayschild already mentioned. The older woman -- I have seen her in so many supporting roles. She is wonderful. Can't help, but feel embarrassed for them. The presenter guy has the intellectual charm of Vin Diesel. His neck seems almost wider than his head. I have a thing for trash so, it was fun. Thanks for sharing the link! You guys rock.

I'm bumping this because I just found it - not often I find something new I haven't seen before. Tim is soooo good in this horribly bad and stupid show. I actually laughed out loud in the first scene where the kid gets strangled because it was so silly. He must have been wondering where the hell his career was going at this point, after being in several big movies.
