Another fun article. Thanks! I pre-ordered a copy of Raylan from the bookstore before it was released. But I have been reluctant to read it because of Elmore Leonard's generous offer to let the Justified writers "strip it for parts." But, hey, that will give me one more Raylanesque treat after TO decides to hang up the stetson. But I never get enough of reading how pleased the author is with the show and particularly TO's interpretation of Raylan. That's pretty sweet validation.

I think the arrangement he has with the show and writing more Raylan stories is awesome.
I've read Raylan. (Recently purchased Pront0 ... already owned Fire in the Hole.) I'm always amazed at how the stories are stripped for parts ... names changed, liberties taken, but a lot of the dialogue is taken verbatim. The dialogue is THAT good.
I thought I read somewhere (not in this interview) that Elmore Leonard is actually working on yet another Raylan story. He must have written Raylan last year and doesn't like pulling a paycheck for what he sees as not working.
