This is a place for all members to come and tell a bit about themselves, show a picture of they want, post a survey... Other members can ask questions and we can all get to know who we're drooling after Timothy Olyphant with.
Have fun! K. To get this going... I'm Jessica. 22 years old (23 this June). I'm a linguist (or will be as soon as I graduate) and I work in a translation agency. I grew up in Cancun, Mexico. I'm in a long distance relationship with a guy who is now also obsessed with Justified. And this is me:

Hi, Jess...what a cutie and smart too ! that's the big bonus.
On my 18th July in the Court of Two Sisters in the French Quarter of New Orleans, I got hold of something called cherry kiafa. I drank a LOT of said cherry kiafa. I was a legend in my own mind, so I'm told. I was deathly sick for so long that they feared for me...as did I. I'm guessing that's why they nicked me cherry. I keep this id real handy so's I won't EVER forget not to try to drink the bar dry or do anything else in such excess, cause there's no telling what they'd call me then.

Hi! I'm wkw99 because, well, the first forum I joined, which was Lost-related, I couldn't figure out WHY I was doing something so crazy as joining a bunch of strangers to talk about a tv show, so I called myself whoknowswhy. Subsequently it got shortened to wkw. 99 is the year I got married. ;-)
I'm 47, 5'9", and have a law degree which I don't use. LOL. Instead, I teach 2nd grade. It's a long, long story.
My husband watched S1 of Justified and kept telling me how fantastic it was. I ignored him. Bad idea. I got caught up in the first few episodes this season and got hopelessly hooked; bought S1 on dvd and watched it in a week., all the while eating MAJOR crow with the husband.

I'm "bookperson" because I'm a librarian. I wish I could say the "39" part is because I'm 39 but, alas, I passed that LONG ago and am 72. I'm married to a Canadian-American chemist who worked for a GM plant in the area in the environmental dept.
We have two cats, 2 kids and 1 NEW grandchild! We are both active in various community theaters in the area - acting, being on the board, working behind the scenes, etc.
I love to read, go to movies, trot my butt to Curves, travel, fill up my iPod and advocate for the arts in my area. Michigan-born and bred.

Okay, I've revealed my age. At this age, one can only hold so much new info. I've used ezboards but not proboards. Could some sweet younger thing give me the instructions for posting a photo from My Pictures to this board? I, in my wisdom, have figured that it has something to do with the "insert image" icon (clever girl, that Bookie!) but when I go to My Pictures, I see no way to get the piccie outta there. TIA

Thanks, cherry! Bookperson, I really haven't used the Attachment option, but I think that's how you upload pictures from your files (some admin I am, huh). The image button from the menu above the box is for urls of images online. You put it between the tags.

Hi! I live in the Netherlands (yes, the one in Europe). I had seen TO in Deadwood and a couple of other things here&there. I discovered Justified last year, because I was unemployed, had a lot of time on my hands and started watching tv shows online. I was hooked from the first episode I saw and downloaded them all (that's not illegal, yet, where I live btw.) I have kept up with season 2 by the same method and have since bought an honest copy of season 1 on dvd (since it aired in the UK, Justified is available as a region 2 dvd-set). I now have a new job and a new Timothy Olyphant obsession (and I also love Gangstagrass, who do the theme tune). Justified has been picked up by a Dutch tv network, so there may be more Dutch fans soon! I am 50 years old and live alone with two cats (oh my, that does sound a little crazy...) I am also the Dutch National Quizzing Champion (that sounds a little crazy too...)

Jessica! DUUUHHH There's the attachment thingy staring me in the face with a nice browse option! LOL
Of course that's not to say I can successfully do it now, but thanks for the info.
I amazed and pleased, after reading the "profiles" so far, that TO has such erudite and accomplished fans of varying backgrounds.

Ashamed to say I had to look up erudite. LOL. It's not really a 2nd grade word! I love that we are all so different, and yet, have things in common, too. Bookperson, I've also done some theater, mostly behind the scenes because I'm a chicken. My best friend is an artist and photographer, so I am always advocating for the arts in our community, and especially in our schools, where it seems to be the first thing to be cut in a budget crunch. We lost our music teacher last year, but managed to keep art. Next year, who knows?

LOL, Yeah. Workin' with kids will do that to you!
Here in Michigan the august new governor is cutting the school budget like crazy to balance the budget. We'll be lucky if they teach English.
Anyways, I'll be waving to you from the airport in Amsterdam in July. I love your comment about living in the Dutch Mountains.

As I have been a Russell Crowe fan for about 10 years my husband has had to get used to me flying off to meet people I "didn't know" for concerts in LA, Austin and Chicago. He's also had to put up with a collection of what he calls "Crowe Crappe" that I keep in plastic boxes in the basement. LOL (He doesn't know I'm starting a TO box)
BTW, don't think I've died or lost interest in The Boy. I'll be out of town for a few days and not sure of the internet access. I'll miss you all and I'll be on as soon as I get back. (About June 8)

Hi, everyone. I'm an "older fan", almost ready for Medicare, I hate to say. Love Timothy anyway.I'm not dead yet! I am a widow and have two sons. One is an artist in NC and one is a licensed professional counselor. I live in PA. I love to read and garden. I also love music. I am a former elementary teacher and share the feeling that some of you stated regarding the loss of programs in the schools. I was always active in theater, and in fact, met my husband in college theater. The arts help children to be well rounded. It's funny how we tax exempt the rich and deprive our children of the things that enrich their lives. I think this country has it's priorities very mixed up.I made sure that my boys had a background in the arts and also had a physical activity of some kind.
Justified is one of my very favorite shows. I wouldn't miss it. The acting, the story lines, the writing are all first rate. Let;s hope for many more seasons.

Hey mondayschild...what grade(s) did you teach? I've taught kindergarten and 2nd. I love teaching, even though it wasn't my first career choice. It's nice knowing I have something I can do when I'm done in the classroom, but right now, I adore the kids and it challenges me like nothing else.

Hi, wkw! In college I did all of my work with kindergarten kids. Then I taught first and second grades. I taught in the inner city which is rewarding, but can wear you out if you're not careful. After my kids were born I gave it up to raise them and don't regret it.
I have been doing "volunteer" teaching for many years; I teach Sunday School and have run VBS programs and produced a number of children's plays over the years. My opportunities in high school and college with directing stood me in good stead when it came to doing programs with the kids at church. They are a fun group and so smart that its scary. Have always loved kids. It seems that once you teach, it's in your blood forever.

To bookperson39:
I have a serious problem that only you can help me with, since you are a lover of books. Before I started posting on Justified sites, I read two books a week---fiction, nonfiction, biography, etc. I am still reading the last book that I picked up three weeks ago. Something has gone terribly wrong! Have I become obsessed? If you can recommend any great books that are sure to keep me from thinking about Raylan so much, please share. (There probably aren't any, but hope springs eternal! (Oh, I just realized---Madame Bovary and Anna Karenina--but I have read both.) Sigh. For a minute there, I thought maybe Count Vronsky could cure me of my addiction...but, no., it's all Raylan, all the time. Am I hopeless?
With fondest regards and best wishes. Mondayschild
P.S> I love British mysteries.
Thank you!

Hi everyone. I love the show Justified and TO so I guess that is why I'm here. I love horseback riding, shopping and a good game of pool. I study and practice some martial arts as well as practice Buddism for inner peace and tolerance . I have been married twice but technically three times twice to the same man. Both LEOs. The first was/is on elite team and local and the marriage was turbulent and volatile. The second was/is a marshal and the marriage was mostly really good at times but with problems and heartbreak. Divorced him for the same reasons the second time but would have reconsidered if he had not done something that had broken and shattered it. I'm currently seeing/dating another LEO a Sheriff's Deputy and beyond happy with him.

Hi Giselle! So glad you decided to come back. We are a friendly bunch and enjoy talking about all kinds of topics...TO related and not. There are threads for his movies, too...I'm new to him, so I've had fun catching up. My somewhat unsuspecting huband and I are currently on S2/E4 of Deadwood. What have you seen?

Welcome, Giselle! Glad to have you here. I think we talked sometime ago over on fx. You were talking about your marriages and your current relationship. I'm glad to know that you have found Mr. Right.

Hi wkw99, after watching the first season of Justified I went and purchased the complete series of DeadWood and loved it. I wasn't certain at first because I'm not that into westerns and period pieces but I so thought differently especially Timothy being in that show. Then I watched A Perfect Getaway on HBO and soon afterward bought that too. I loved him in A Man Apart even though his role was small then I just started to watch or find movies he is in.

Hi mondayschild. My man and I had been through a lot the past several months to a year but it was so worth the wait. We had met actually when I had been going through some difficult times and I was still married. He had gone through a really bad divorce him self and a difficult time as well. He just showed up out of the blue and was there for me when ever I needed someone. But he just so patiently waited for me until I was free and it was the right time.

The right ones are patient and are there for you. Sounds like you found a really good one. I wish you much happiness.
You were mentioning some movies that you enjoyed. We have a Coastlines thread here and could start one for the others if everyone wants to discuss them. I've watched four in the last month, hopeless addict that I am. We've talked about some of his movies before, but we all love most or all of them and can't seem to shut up about them, so that's not a problem.
Glad you're feeling better.
