There was another one of these from a few years ago but it was a poll of movies only. Time for a new thread. Too hard to make into a poll format so if you want you can copy/paste. You don't have to get all crazy with the emojis but can just list ones you've seen or haven't seen.

I can't believe I haven't seen Rango. Probably worth watching regardless of TO. All those animated films are generally great.
Really interesting to see such a varied career. He's never been bad in a single role. The only one that was painful to watch was Hitman because it was just such a silly mess and he just seemed so miserable being there. You could sense his discomfort. I loved my trip to Sofia but he must have really been missing Mrs. Oly and the little Olys to be there so long.
I've enjoyed the pleasant surprises like The Broken Hearts Club, High Life, and A Perfect Getaway. I need to give The Crazies a rewatch because I think I was just skimming for his scenes after being burned out by the Walking Dead. Blurain just said this was a favorite of hers.

I think there are scenes from some of his early roles floating around on youtube that I haven't watched yet. Or maybe just don't remember watching.
I didn't think Rango was anything spectacular, it seemed really slow to me and was lacking some of the adult humor that the Pixar movies have. And you have to wait until almost the end for TO's character to show up.
The Crazies is so good. Very different and they aren't really zombies, but I can see where TWD may have turned you away from the movie. I quit watching TWD like 3 years before I saw The Crazies. I don't normally like horror movies or thrillers but The Crazies was really well done and it was a smart story.
For only really having discovered Tim when SCD came out 2 years ago I've made a pretty good dent in his filmography.

Wow, thank you! I'm guessing you win the most devoted fan title unless his mom pops up here having seen everything. Would anyone like me to upload the episode of Archer? It's a cartoon but hilarious. A lot of (uninformed) people were hugely surprised by how funny he was.

The League, seriously wtf? It's definitely a guy show. Tim was funny as the white sushi chef though. And Archer was pretty good, I know my brother is really into the show but that was the first episode I've ever seen. Not bad. I didn't realize Archer is still being made and has had 10 season already.

Yes, Tim was hilarious in that role but the rest of the episode... zzzz. I think it was targeted specifically for FX's primarily male audience.
I really, really cannot wait for Curb Your Enthusiasm. Hopefully that will be another 2019 credit.

Or footage of early Tim acting or doing stand-up would be super cool.

Wow! I think I am one of Tim's most loyal and true fans, but I could not get into all of his early roles! I am watching Girl Next Door right now because I know it is a fave of many and I just can't say that I love Tim in his early roles! I think the first one I really loved was Catch and Release! He seemed like a regular guy in that movie and had so many fab love scenes! And that famous kiss! Then he was so wonderful in Perfect Getaway! Yes! I didn't see Deadwood until I fell in love with him in Justified! And then I went back and watched as much of his early stuff as I could find. I did love him in the Mindy Project! I may love Tim more for his talk show appearances where I can see the real Tim and not just the roles he is playing Can't wait to see him in OUATIH!!! I know QT does some bloody movies, but I hope Tim does not get all bloody My fave Tim may be in SCD and after the finale of Season 3, I was worried that he would be a zombie and eating people in Season 4, but now I would happily watch him get all bloody and eat people, just to get a chance to see him in a Season 4. I thought he was hot in Elektra Luxx and Advice from a Caterpillar, but it is the greying Tim that I love more than anything Keeping the positive vibes for more of Tim in comedy where we can see his true comedic personality come out I really felt it when he cried in the Deadwood movie and he is an amazing actor, but I just want to see that beautiful smile and hear some of his funny stories again Keeping my legs crossed that he will be on the Andy Richter podcast very soon since I am craving me some Tim right about now

angellovestim I always love your enthusiasm! Didn't you like Go? That was a rad movie and he was amazing in it.
It's very strange to look at his early roles because he's almost unrecognizable to me in some ways. What's funny to me is that the hottest Tim is the Tim two or three years older than my current age. So a few years ago I loved Tim in his late 30s around Damages and A Perfect Getaway and but now I think his hottest point was mid 40s. I used to think he was super hot in Go and SATC but now he's just looks too young, though I still love his performances. Somehow I'm convinced he was the hottest in the fourth season of Justified, with the long hair.
So in a few years I'll think the hottest Tim is Santa Clarita Diet Tim.

Somehow I'm convinced he was the hottest in the fourth season of Justified, with the long hair. So in a few years I'll think the hottest Tim is Santa Clarita Diet Tim. So funny you mention this. I was just thinking about this earlier. My first introduction to Tim was when season one of SCD came out and as I was watching I kept thinking to myself, "that guy is weirdly attractive for a man who is probably going on 50." My best friend and I were actually texting about the show when it first came out and we both had pretty much that same thought. ๐ I don't find Go Tim all that attractive (he was good looking but not really noteworthy) or think he's super hot in any of his early roles even though he was a lot closer to my current age in those early roles. I find his most attractive years at this point are from like 2008-2012 which at the start is roughly 10years or so older than my current age. But then when it comes to most celebrities I tend to find the ones who are 8-12 years older than me the most attractive compared to famous guys who are around my age. But in real life things tend to be opposite of that. ๐คท๐ I agree with you about him being almost unrecognizable in his early roles. I watched the Mr. and Mrs. Smith pilot early and could hardly believe Tim was Scooby, especially in the early and middle parts of the show. Towards the end when his hair was slicked back I thought he looked more like a young Raylan.

Go was one of my faves for years and I think I saw it twice in the theater. It was his performance that was amazing plus that kiss on the stairs with Katie Holmes. And I had a thing back then for the bad boy. But of all his '90s stuff, I think he's most handsome in that cop drama, High Incident, that's on YouTube. His face has changed so much and I think it's mostly the natural aging around his eyes, combined with losing the baby fat in his cheeks, that gave him a more prominent cheekbones and jawline. I noticed he looks like 1990s Tim again when he closes his eyes. The teeth were a good move too. Changed the shape of his mouth a bit. There are a few men like Tim who age like fine wine, who go from cute to extremely handsome. George Clooney is another one. He wasn't really memorable until he was closing in on 40 and he suddenly became this mega movie star and the epitome of Hollywood glamour. I think they both look very distinguished. I really love when he said about how he used to look, "My wife married that guy." I bet he truly believes he married up and that helps him stay besotted with her. I think that helps keep the thrill of the chase there for guys. I love how Mrs. Oly couldn't care less about having a Hollywood star husband, so long as he takes in the trash.

I found 2 episodes of High Incident on youtube but I haven't watched them yet.
It's really not fair that men are able to age like that. George Clooney really wasn't noteworthy in his attractiveness until the late 90s.
I agree, I bet when he got married he really thought she was out of his league. From everything I've heard she seems like an awesome person. I remember Drew saying in an interview that she and Mrs. Oly bonded when they met and she was crushing harder on Mrs O than on Tim. I still laugh when I think about Tim's fantasy from the Conan podcast that he gets nominated for an Oscar and when Oscar Sunday rolls around Mrs. Oly says "thats kind of your thing" I have other things to do. ๐๐๐ She really don't seem to care and its awesome. He's really got it made with her and how normal their lives are compared to most celebrities.

Lady Olyphant sounds like a riot, very funny herself. I remember in one of his 103.1 reports he said how when they were at the atrocious Alvin & the Chipmunks movie, it was so bad his wife turned to him and said, "I wish I'd never met you, because then I would not be here right now." ๐๐๐๐ That's gold. The comment about people in the industry, that he mentioned in the Nerdist podcast, about how all those self-important people in the industry don't seem to realize they're just doing a job like everyone else, was funny as hell too. I want to hug her for saying it.
Yes about the Oscar fantasy! ๐ I love when he mentions these little fantasies. So normal. He also mentioned her in the Deadwood commentary, I think when he talked about how this is what he had to look forward to the love scenes after so many years of marriage, and Ian said something about his wife hearing that. He laughed so hard at "the idea that my wife would ever listen to my DVD commentary." Did you see the interview where he talked about how she finally went to the set and literally had no idea what anybody's job was? It's great.

I wish there were more of those sound bites available online. I know timothy-olyphant.org has a couple months worth of the sports report available but I wish there were more somewhere. They both seem very grounded in reality and she sounds like she's completely boggled by the people in the industry and their self-importance. I remember that from the commentary. ๐ She just doesn't care at all and its awesome. That interview where he talks about his wife not knowing what anyone does is one of my favorites. I also crack up every time during the story from the Conan podcast where they were at some party and they ran into an actress from season 2 of Justified, Tim introduced her and Mrs. O had no idea. ๐ By the way, I have been trying to figure out who that actress would be; maybe Margo Martindale, Katelyn Dever, or the woman who played Carol Johnson? The first two would seem more likely just because they had more episodes than the Black Pike lady. I feel like Margo would be memorable/recognizable just because she's been in so many things and Mrs. O was also there when she won the Emmy for Justified. ๐คท

I wish there were more of those sound bites available online. I know timothy-olyphant.org has a couple months worth of the sports report available but I wish there were more somewhere. Same here. They're an absolute treasure and it's a miracle t-o.org has as many as it does. It says don't download them, but I just downloaded them anyway to listen to on walks and in case the website suddenly disappears. I've only listened to about half and can't wait to listen to the rest. I wonder if Joe Escalante even has more? The station was resurrected and died again recently. I feel like Margo would be memorable/recognizable just because she's been in so many things and Mrs. O was also there when she won the Emmy for Justified. ๐คท I've wondered this too! I don't think it was Margo for the reasons you stated, and not Katelyn since she was there through the end of the show. I think it was someone fairly minor whom she wouldn't have known by name, but she should have known by sight if she had been watching... ๐ I think Carol Johnson is a good guess since she and Margo were the only recurring actresses who were only in that season. It also seemed like Tim couldn't remember her name either when he was telling the story. I also loved that Conan's wife (Liza! So stunning!) is basically the same and he said "she misses years at a time of my show" which cracked Tim up. Which, if you think about it, is pretty healthy. If these guys were accountants, their wives could care less what they were doing at work and with whom.

Hopefully he's got some stuff in the works that just hasn't been announced yet .We were so spoiled with new Tim content in April and May that now I'm going through withdrawals. Fingers crossed we get him on at least one talk show for Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.
It looks like this is the week that Rich Eisen is on vacation but I haven't seen any tweets about Tim guest hosting. Wonder if they were serious about that and if it is actually happening?

I feel really confident we'll get Tim back on Conan and maybe Seth when OUATIH comes out. That is going to be a juggernaut of a film and the promo will be insane, and Leo/Brad/Pacino basically never do late night. So that leaves Margot Robbie, Kurt Russell, Tim and Quentin, plus some of the younger people like Dakota, etc. This is really the biggest film of Tim's career and I bet he'll be thrilled to get out there to promote, plus the fact that he was in scenes with Luke Perry and can do tributes for him.
It sounds like Tim and Rich were just joking or they didn't take Tim up on his offer... maybe Rich was afraid Tim would be better! ha ha I like Rich a lot and he has great rapport with Tim, but Tim's 103.1 radio reports were 1,000 times funnier and more entertaining than Rich could ever hope for.
It seems like Curb Your Enthusiasm isn't coming back until 2020... so we have to wait.

OMG! I just found the Let's Talk Sports on t-o.org! Woohoo! How long have those audio clips been there!!!! I may be in heaven right now, but I'll talk more soon! Right now I must listen to the silk tones of our Tim! Too funny about the Jan 2nd, 2008 call where Tim was obviously in bed just waking up! I am not in "show biz-ness" so I am usually back to work right after the NY I think Tim's voice and humor may be my most fave things about this wonderful man! I'm listening and swooning....hope I don't pass out
