And the great news is it is an A-list cast so will get lots of promotion and hopefully awards. Animated films are so expensive to make that they usually are of very high quality when it comes to story. And Tim is a great voice actor too, which is crazy difficult. You have to say each line like 100 times.
And this plot and cast should increase his cool dad points. Yay Tim!

The trailer has just been released. Don't think Tim's voice is in it, it's mostly Hugh Jackman, Zach Galifianakis & Zoe Saldana. Hopefully Tim will be doing the promo rounds for it next year.

He got third billing after Hugh and Zoe. Sounds like he has a big role. Yay!

Another trailer came out this month for this. I can't hear Tim, but it seems there is an Old West scene with a bar fight and I bet he got a part as a cowboy or sheriff - nobody could play it better.

The premiere is Sunday in New York.... maybe an excuse to do Seth Meyers or Fallon?

The premiere is Sunday in New York.... maybe an excuse to do Seth Meyers or Fallon? I'd be surprised if he does any press for this. I don't think his part is big enough. The only one from the film who I've seen scheduled to do any talk shows in Hugh Jackman. Zoe Saldana and Zack Galifianakis aren't even slated for any at this point. Tim has 4 projects in 5 months coming out. I kind of think that the biggest promo tour Tim is going to do this year will be for Deadwood; he and Ian McShane will carry the load for promoting it since they are the two big names. I don't think he will do much for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood since it sounds like he has a pretty small part; Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Margo Robbie are the heavy hitters for that one so they will do most of the promoting unless they have scheduling conflicts with something else. I bet we will at least see Tim at the premiere for OUATIH but I don't expect him to do much promoting since the cast is so huge. He's got so much coming out in such a short time span I don't think he will do a bunch of talk shows or interviews for each project.

I hope he does more for SCD but with the turn around time between that and when the Deadwood press tour will start I won't be surprised if we don't see him on another talk show again until May. Maybe he will do the Rich Eisen Show again soon. I'd love to hear him on another in depth podcast like Chris Hardwick's Id10t. Chris was a huge Deadwood fan so it would be super cool for Tim to go back on his podcast for the movie.

That would be great! His Nerdist interview was the best. I wonder if we can bug them to ask Tim back for his new podcast?

Tim’s character has been named on Imdb page. It’s Stenk. My 9 yr old wants to see this in the Easter hols (not a Tim fan but likes stop frame animation) so will find out more then 😀

Love the last photo especially. My God, does he love that black Raylan shirt. It looks like a comfortale shirt. I think he has a few of those black henley shirts, who knows how many he stole from Justified. The Raylan shirt he wore on Conan had white buttons although I think Raylan did have one with black buttons as well. Tim and Hugh Jackman are the same age (Tim's actually 5 months older), and I think Hugh has aged extremely well too, but Tim looks younger to me. He has a more youthful face I think, even with all the gray hair.

I think he looks a bit younger than Hugh but he looks so much healthier! He just looks happy and healthy and normal. I think Hugh looks a bit botoxed and I think that ages people much more than it makes them look younger.....
I wish Tim would write a memoir about how to be a normal person in Hollywood.

A memoir would be great. Or a podcast/talk show like he's talked about on the Nerdist and Ellen. "What's your problem?" I think healthy and happy are the key to looking/feeling young. Botox isn't a good long term solution for looking younger. Hugh's weight has fluctuated so much from gaining and losing muscle for the X-men movies I think that has taken its toll as well. His face is looking really thin now which I think makes him look older. Tim was more muscular back when he did Damages and A Perfect Getaway but he has never gained or lost a ton of weight the way some of these actors do for certain roles. Gaining and losing all that weight whether it is muscle or fat repeatedly takes its toll on the skin and body. I'm glad Tim hasn't done that to himself over the years for his job.

Apparently he gained about 20 lbs. of muscle for Hitman, which I believe. His arms were huge in that. He was still looking for ripped in A Perfect Getaway, which was such a good film. You're right, all this gaining and losing weight is very unhealthy for the skin. I wonder how Christian Bale will look at 50 and 60...

I still need to see Hitman, I don't think it was available on amazon when I ordered a few movies last summer. A Perfect Getaway is one of my favorites, Tim looks so good in that. His arms were still huge in The Crazies as well, another great movie. I don't normally like scary movies but I really enjoyed The Crazies. Hitman explains why his biceps were so big in that.

I just saw Hitman last week! I had tried to watch it a couple years ago before but fell asleep. I finally committed and watched the whole thing. It was just awful. Nothing Tim could have done would have saved this film. It didn't make any sense and there was no original plot, but it was full of glaring goofs. Like it's supposed to be set in Russia yet with giant signs in Bulgarian everywhere (Bulgarian uses a letter the Russian alphabet doesn't use). And then at the end it says, indicating location: "Russian-Turkey border." Russia doesn't share a border with Turkey, you dingdongs. And there is one scene where Tim's character jumps over a rail and you get like 2 seconds of a guy who is clearly a stunt double. Really, you couldn't edit this out? Here's a screenshot of supposedly Tim: Tim is so gracious and he never really complains but he was so clearly miserable making this film. At least it probably paid for a good chunk of his mortgage. You're right about the shirt!

Geographical goofs and ones like that with stuntmen drive me nuts, they should use better camera angles so it isn't as obvious that the stuntman isn't the main actor. Although shockingly, I am not well enough versed in Bulgarian or Russian that I would have noticed the signage goofs. Tim's comments about Hitman are part of the reason I have put off watching it for so long. I have seen most of his other work now with the exception of a small handful of movies and early tv stuff where his roles are smaller. I'm traveling next week so maybe I will download Hitman and watch it on the plane. I'm planning on going to Missing Link in theaters but it will probably be three weeks before I get to it.
