I think we should have a thread for the comments Tim's work colleagues make on working with him.
So to kick-off this is from David Blass, one of the production designers on Justified:

Yay, I love this thread! I think the only person who ever complained about Tim was Kevin Smith, who I think creates imaginary feuds with everybody because of his own insecurities. Lovely quote from Natalie Zea when asked about Tim in an interview:

From an interview with Jenn Lyon (Justified, Hold On To Me Darling):
TrunkSpace: And to learn that out of the gates with Timothy Olyphant when you appeared alongside him in “Justified”… that had to be a great learning experience because he sort of epitomizes that quiet delivery.
Lyon: Oh yeah… that mother fucker can just do everything with like a little squint and you’re like, “Fuck you, Timothy!” He’s so good.
We got to make fun of him when he was doing the play because he always wanted to be doing something. Actors on TV… you’re always inventing business for yourself. You’re grabbing a cough drop when you’re talking to your boss or putting a file folder together. And he was always wanting to adjust the table or do whatever and we were like, “Stand there and say the words!” (Laughter)

Kaitlyn Dever (Loretta in Justified) in a Gold Derby interview with Chris Beachum: CB: Sounds like some of the guys on the show and ladies on the show are very intense, very much in character but I think I've heard over the years that while he could be that way he was also pretty loose. KD: He is that way... CB: Did he make you feel comfortable? KD: Yeah, but I did learn so much from him. I remember paying attention to more what he did over the years working with him. He is very loose but he kinda like he can, he's very like... I'm sorta like him in ways where I can, I don't have to be character the whole day, I can get in and out of it quite quickly. But he will be doing a scene and then will go over to the writers' section or Video Village and start discussing a storyline for six episodes later. And discussing how he can make his character work or other characters work, just always talking about Justified. Not doing anything else, like he's always trying to make the show and his character and everyone else's character the best it can be. And I really notice that. The whole entire time I worked with him I was like 'Wow'. He's probably one of the hardest working actors I've ever worked with, honestly, because he's just always always working and then at the end of the day he's done and he goes home. He's got three kids that he's always talking about and his wife and it's like he's just an amazing to watch and look up to. (Extract from youtube interview)

Jenn Lyon who played Lindsay on Justified and Nancy in Hold On to Me Darling talks about Tim in a The Actor's Audience interview. She starts talking about Justified at 6:45 and then spends a few minutes talking about Justified and how great Tim is. I didn't realize Justified was only her 4th non theater role.

ha ha ha she is a riot! How funny. A troll, an ogre and a gorgon 😂😂😂
What did she mean by "do your own business" in television? Seems like she was talking about pretending to be a bartender, but wouldn't you do that in theater too? ie wash a glass or whatever...

I took it as just working the props more and doing so as you say your lines and have a dialogue with another character. I haven’t seen many professional plays but I don’t recall actors working the props as much as they do on tv while saying their lines.
I remember an interview with someone who was talking about Tim doing the play and he kept wanting keep himself busy and working the props while they were rehearsing for the play. But now I’m drawing a complete blank on who that was or what interview it was.

Tim seriously needs to write a book for aspiring actors about everything he's learned. I can only imagine how funny it would be.

We already knew Tim was a very genuine person and all around awesome guy but I love hearing these affirmations from his colleagues. There really aren't many other celebs where all you hear are good things about them from both their colleagues and fans.

Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian)
"I went on set and Tim was working and that to me was just… I was blown away," she explained. "I saw one of his scenes and sort of saw what it was about and as, a fan of the lore, I sort of knew what was coming. So it was really cool to see Boba Fett." (I guess she mistook his role as Boba Fett because of the armor).
"he really does that gunslinger well where he just… there's something about a gun on his hips."

Brent Sexton (Deadwood/Justtified) " I'd worked with Timothy before and he's great. He and I got along awesome. I like working with him. He really knows how to pick a scene apart. You know, pop the hood, get in underneath, check everything out. He's very, very good at that."
from youtube interview below: well worth a watch, lots stuff about working on Justified from about 40 mins in.

From John Rooney, extra on Full Circle: “Timothy Olyphant
The star of 'Deadwood' and 'Justified' was our main principle during Tuesday night's shoot and for those with such curiosity I will confirm he is extremely good looking with that "star charisma", reminding me of a finely chiseled- down Tim Robbins with a Billy Zane-like smile.”

Kimberly Snap, stand-in on Justified: City Primeval - “ Timothy is a swell guy. There was one day when I thought he was being a diva, and I was about to be so disappointed because he was having words with the director. As I eavesdrops ( of course) he was actually standing up for the background and crew, asking the director ‘ why the hell is the crew food so awful.’ - he gets his own food, but had heard ours is terrible and insisted they do better!!! I have never heard of the principal actors go to bed for us like that. I was humbled and impressed.” http://instagram.com/p/CnQRHRgsg-R

Guy D’Alema (Stlls photographer, Justified):
“He is one of the nicest guys I've ever worked with...no ego, no attitude, always available when needed. I wish there were more like him in front of the cameras.”
